    By Robert,

    Atari 2600 emulator for GP2X

    Hi All,

Stella is one of the best emulators of the Atari 2600 game console, running on many different systems, such as Linux, Solaris, Windows, MacOS/X, WinCE, OS/2, GP2X.

It has been written initially by Bradford Mott, see Stella site for details.

GP2X-2600 is a port on GP2X of my previous port to PSP. My PSP version is based on the work of Aenea who was the first to port Stella to PSP.

    What's new this version :

    - Bug fix, now working with F200 (Thanks to Slaanesh)

PS2 memory card modchip to play games from USB hard drives

    Alpha
    By Alpha,

An upcoming firmware update for Memor32 – the PS2 modchip on a memory card – promises to allow your non-chipped PS2 to play your entire collection of games from the comforts of a roomy, capacious USB hard drive. A group of Russian hackers named Memento are responsible for the firmware handiwork, allowing hard drive-based playback of your entire collection of PS2 discs for easy access, TiVo-style. Sure, the unscrupulous amongst you may use your Memor32's new found powers for evil, but we just want to fire up Shadow of the Colossus without leaving the couch.

Although not released to the general public yet, the memento site states:

The new firmware is arriving, we know you are all waiting for it, but we want to release something that we will be proud of.

Be patient, we are 99% done :clapping:

"A member of the maxconsole forum has said that he was told the current hold up is with the US firmware, but that the PAL firmware is ready for release.

As a big fan of the R4 (A similar ROM playing device for the DS) I can see myself getting one of these and being very happy indeed. The ability to store all of my PS2 games on a single hard drive is extremely appealing. As is the prospect of being able to play PS2 home brew without needing to open the case and void any kind of warranty." - Ripten
