This probobly doesn't apply to everything, but Mario Paint actually had a transparent color in the palette. My photoshopping skill doesn't go beyond paint, and a gif animator I used for this:

kool gif. i have problem cutting stuff from picture becuz of their background. i wonders how Fatal does his work?

a little too big man, I recommend you try practicing your skills at a smaller resolution first (so you know how to manage the of what you're creating)

Just learn how to do avatars and sigs. I do my own...I'm not even average at best, though I did do a couple good ones back whenever. I learned through A LOT of experimenting with the filter and image size/resolutions and whatnot.
