random guy Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Okay this is just a comparison between the video blitters on winkawaks. This is normal no scanlines:
Agozer Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 I prefer Super 2xSaI, but can't remember if Winkawaks had that. Anyway, does this thread have a meaning other than showcasing blitters?
sammaz Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 in FBAxxx.... Hardware:point filtering \ software:avanced mame 2x looks best on my mvs cabinet http://www.pixagogo.com/4126245911
Gryph Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 I prefer Super 2xSaI, but can't remember if Winkawaks had that. Anyway, does this thread have a meaning other than showcasing blitters?I use normal blitter because it just looks normal. And yes, Kawaks has 2xSAI; it's under Kreed Blitters.
Agozer Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 I'd rather go with HQxx filters, but meh, Kawaks doesn't have those (or then I'm blind).
iq_132 Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Same here Agozer. I definitely prefer HQ2x + HQ4x to any other filters.
[S4]The Phantom Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Are you serious? HQxx filters come out even worse than not using filters in my view. The curves look awful and the computer slows down a lot... and my comp can run doom3 at medium so I don' think its because of my computer. Am I doing something wrong? At least in SSVS....

[S4]The Phantom Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 (edited) But I have P4 3.16 with Hyperthreading.... Maybe its just my mame, lol But looks really bad on it, seriously. I've tried to take a screenshot, but the screenshots in mame come out as if there were no filters....meh I guess HQxx does not fit with my mame. Edited September 12, 2004 by [S4]The Phantom

More importantly, how much memory does your video card have and how much RAM do you have? Processor speed really isn't the issue compared to those two.

I like the aspect of HQxx, but too bad, my comp can't even handle HQ2x.
