You like to look around like an airplane? I never have it inverted, unless it is a plane.

Yeah, if I'm using a stick of any kind I like the Y-axis to be inverted. Nearly all 1st person games give you the option to invert, but for some reason SH4 does not :D

None of the Silent Hills had an option to invert the axis.

But none of the SH games forced you to play in first person either. The only time you used the Y-axis in previous SH games is if you used the "search view" button to look around, but that really wasn't necessary most of the time.

Does SH4 going to have that crappy RE-like control, where instead of being able to run 360, up is forward, down is backward, and left and right turn?

Every game has taken it's share of Resident Evil-like Controls.

It has both. So did SH2 and SH3.

Both? :)

Like, an option to change it?

Exactly. 2D and 3D movement.

I prefer 2d, I don't see why everyone hates it. It's not hard to move at all. Using 3d controls is obviously easier, because you can turn around and run like a pansy quicker. But it's not in any way hard to use, I got it within a minute, and haven't had problems with it, or complained, since.

I use 2D in SH2 and SH3. I son't like the Re style 3D, since it leaves too much room for errors in tight spots, IMO.
