Zzap!Raine Facebook page

Hello!

Just informing that Zzap!Raine now has a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ZzapRaine/

The page will be used to share updates on Raine (new versions of the emulator, bug fixes, etc.) and the Zzap!Raine magazine (new issues, updates to the website) as well as new reviews of Raine-emulated games.

Since the staff is all Italian and the Zzap! community is predominantly Italian, we have opted to post in Italian. Facebook however offers automatic translation so...

You are most welcome to like and follow the page :-)

And I promise that something good is already happening in the Zzap!Raine world and it will be unveiled on the Facebook page a little bit at a time.

Unable to access it without a login.

I am not too sure if you need to be logged to Facebook to view a page. The page is "public" in the sense that you don't need to be registered (to the page) such as 'private groups'.

If you have a Facebook account (and are logged in), the page should be accessible without any issues. I have no idea if the page is visible even if you are not logged in... (or don't have any accounts at all).

I don't have an account, and there's many other pages that I can get to.

But looks like I can click the X on the login request and then see the content, so not as bad as first feared. As you said, it's in Italian so it doesn't mean a lot to me anyway.

They really want me to log in though because there's more requests at the top and bottom of the page.

Got it.

The most juicy news of the day is that I am producing actual PDFs of the old Zzap!Raine issues - downloadable for free. As soon as they are ready, I will share them with Tux for sharing through the Zzap!Raine website. :-)

Issue 1 is almost ready. The next issue won't be long in the works...

Oh there were tools for that, html2pdf but it was made before the web became crazy and it was mainly for simple web design. Might work with zzap though, after all it's still some quite old html too. But I am sure you prefer to revise it at the same time and change a few things manually instead of having something automatic do it !

That's correct. There's a lot to fix and as you know I have never been happy with the English translation. Back to Italian is the only way to make the magazine really enjoyable.

Errr, maybe for Italians, but for them only ! ;-)

Yeh, it takes too much hassle to maintain the Facebook page in English - and particularly when the majority of visitors would be Italian regardless. Think about the positives: Raine as an emulator will have an little fan club in Italy for a change :-)
