Shibathedog Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Ha yeah I remember deleting cookies and doing that. I still think the worst place to download files on the internet is fileplanet. They are an all legal site so I guess you can't really compare them but they used to drive me crazy back in the day. I have refused to download anything there for years, It might be better now I dunno but it pissed me off so bad I don't even want to try and find out. I remember waiting in line for 2 hours+ to get a file. The stupid download system was glitchy as hell too so sometimes you would have to start over. I refuse to pay for these sites legal or not. You can't just fuck over everyone who doesn't pay.
emsley Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I think if you "pay" for it and you have a good connection and you can find a good group then it aint so bad - still if you have a good connection and just a little know how torrents still kick the most ass.
The-Ice-Man Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 I would never pay. I use fileplanet when I want official patches for games. As it happens I haven't had to wait in line for anything for ages.
emsley Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I had to wait in line yesterday for my giro...
The-Ice-Man Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 That sucks, can't they just put it straight into your bank account?
emsley Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 yeah they do now - it was a cold weather payment
pivot77 Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 mega upload all the way! and if u buy it you can use mega video and all their other sites aswell so that includes free tv downloads and music!
Diso Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 TBH, If you download too much from megaupload, it sets a cap to how much you downloaded. You can wait up to an hour for your next file. Rapidshare is pretty bad when the servers are full, but its ok even though you have to wait 15 minutes in betwee. Hotfile seems to be the best atm, you only have to wait 15 minutes between each file and you can usually get in with pretty decent speeds.
CJ Jackson Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Well blame the Copyright Nazis, because of them rapidshare got worse and worse, I never notice the problem mainly because I'm a paid user and I often visit a private file sharing forum and most of the uploaders happen to use rapidshare. Superman will be able to back me up, he also a member of that private file sharing forum and James had his account pwned.
The-Ice-Man Posted February 16, 2010 Author Posted February 16, 2010 I wouldn't mind if it just worked when I wanted it too. Megaupload always works for me. I was using megaupload last night and found it has a limit too, but it's much higher, I'd downloaded over a gig of stuff before it made me wait.
nurdkrusher Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 I beleave megaupload works just like megavideojust restart you router and you can download againim not positive ittle work for everyone but thats what i do
The-Ice-Man Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 I don't have a router so can't try that trick. It records my IP which doesn't change if I disconnect and reconnect. I have no problem waiting after a gig though. But after every few megs on Rapidshare, it can kiss my ass.
emsley Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Unplugging your routher depends on also if you have a static or dynamic IP?
Shibathedog Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Yeah it does, if you don't have a router you could just disconnect and reconnect your modem for the same effect, in fact even if you do have a router this is what you should be doing.
