cba.gy Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) The Star Wars BattleFront II Mod is nearing release. What is it?This is a full-out mod that expands SWBF2 for the Xbox, giving you new gameplay, maps and characters. Game Modes * New/Updated Hero Assaults - Coruscant, Jabba's Palace, Utapau, and more! * New Hunt modes - Gammoreans at Jabba's Palace, Gungans on Naboo Plains, Naboo (humans) on Theed, Nelvaanians on Nelvann, Bothans on Bothawui * Classic Conquest - All ground maps * Order 66 - Clones vs Jedi. Appears on any existing map where Order 66 was known to happen * Jedi CTF - Jedi VS Sith 1-Flag CTF * Hero Conquest - Conquest with Heroes VS Villains. Any type of character - jedi, jet trooper, soldier, etc. * JubJub - A kids mode. Everyone is the size of an Ewok, when characters die they kneel, and there are no pain/death sounds. SG1000 Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) DO WANTDO WANT DO WANT This could be the Star Wars game of forever! Best of luck with the project. I hope all your development goes smoothly. Oh, and one last thing.... THANK YOU for doing this. Seriously Mate, I was extremely disappointed when I heard we wouldn't be getting SW Battlefront III this year. And although I like the recently released PSP and DS games, there is no substitute for the console versions. As an avid Star Wars fan this is the best SW related news I've heard in a long while. cba.gy Posted November 18, 2009 Author Posted November 18, 2009 Nothing has appeared yet Darknoir. Its been in the pipeline for months and months. The first release will feature everything ive pasted in the first post. It will be quickly followed by another release with more content added. I believe the aim is to release a stable version first. On line content can also be added to the install

cba.gy Posted December 26, 2009 Author Posted December 26, 2009 (edited) Getting closer Edited January 5, 2010 by cba.gy
cba.gy Posted January 5, 2010 Author Posted January 5, 2010 Updates done over the holiday: * The Classic Conquest side was heavily revamped. Infantry is now 10x more accurate than it ever was in the SWBF Conversion Pack. Flyers are more accurate as well. Still finishing flyers, then tweaking ground vehicles. * Bespin Platforms was revisited and polished. Its not 100% how I want it, but its definitely ready for the first release. It just needs vehicle tweaking and additional gametypes (all for v2) * Thule is now coming together nicely. Clone Wars is pretty much how it was left. Galactic Civil War adds the Rebel walker cut from the game and the V-Wing airspeeder, two vehicles new to the Xbox. * Kashyyyk: Docks is 95% done, and ready for a v1 release. Only Conquest and Classic Conquest are polished up, but that's plenty for v1. * Sullust was added and tweaked to work correctly on the Xbox. * Three new classes are in the process of being added to Sullust (the infantry test map) - Special, Melee and Recon. Once I've got them perfected they'll be added to all maps. * Dash Rendar, Bossk and Greedo were put in-game (though Greedo isn't currently assigned as a hero anywhere) * Coruscant Streets will likely be renamed Nar Shaddaa. This is to give us another planet for Galactic Conquest in version 2. * The CIS Dwarf Spider will likely make an appearance on maps. Its a very popular unit in the CGI cartoons. * Jedi CTF will likely have the "robo bunny" CTF flag from Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II as an homage to my favorite Star Wars game. (see hide tag below) * Tatooione: Dune Sea, Naboo: Plains and the villain Cad Bane are the next things on my list to get green on the first post's task list. * Jedi on the Coruscant campaign mission and Order 66 gametypes will get more variants. A Chiss male, some face and robe variants, etc. Its a little too plain at the moment.
