Shibathedog Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Yeah so they are modded, and banned, and cheap. So I want one, I don't really care about xbox live but I heard that when a console gets banned you can't use it as a media extender (don't care about that either) and that you can't put it in HD mode? It locks you into standard definition apparently. Is this even true? It sounds kind of bullshit to me. I might just get one anyway though because I don't have an HDTV.
emsley Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 I read in the paper that as many as one million xboxes could be banned. But "hackers" are finding ways round microsucks checks with stealth chip.

I haven't tested if tversity still works or not. if it does you can get divx that way.

You can still install games to HDD, but you will not get updates and patches.

I am thankful that I jumped to PS3 now No ban worry. Only wallet worry
Inky Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 so what the fuck are you posting your useless drivel for then? go play and don't give a fuck. no one gives a fuck that you don't give a fuck.
emsley Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I'm opting for the PS3 this time round - I have fancied a 360 for a while now, but if Im spending that much money then Ill gun for the PS3 - Some sucker will let one go for 100 bucks in the area I live because of their drugs habits then all i have to do is disinfect the controllers and unit its self as to not catch hepatitis or aids.

You do.your so right! I can't wait for your next useless 'I don't care' post. It makes my life complete to know that you don't like anything that anyone else does. Your such a rebel!Falling in line by pretending to not fall in line is the coolest!
Shibathedog Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 ha^ well it turns out all these guys I work with play online all the time and they want me to play with them so I'll just wait and save up for a new one. Is there anything I should be looking for when I buy one? I want to mod it and I dunno if some are harder/impossible to mod or something. I read some guides but they are all pretty old.
Gouken Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 The latest ban wave disabled a lot. Anyone who knows me knows that I tell the truth but yes, I am pro-Sony for obvious reasons. I'll list what the ban does to your console... 1. Cannot install games to the HDD2. Disables all media server access (you cannot stream anything to your 360)3. In terms of achievements, you cannot play games on your banned 360, remove the HDD and load up those achievements onto your Live! enabled 360. Your gamertag will sync with data from before you were banned. The first two are features provided through software updates for your console or are already inherently there when the 360 was first released. These features should NOT be taken away from gamers, only the ability to connect to XBOX Live!. M$ taking away features you paid for is just asking for a lawsuit.
