Inky Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 has anyone reflashed for these new wave 3 games? I've just been avoiding them but it's getting to be a pain.so I guess I'll update my firmware today.
L.S.D Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 yeah, i heard games like GH Metallica, HAWX, Leisure Suit and MLB 2K9 use the wave3. So, which firmware you are suggesting for x360 with BenQ drive? I am thinking of reflashing too.
Inky Posted April 4, 2009 Author Posted April 4, 2009 I haven't gotten around to reflashing yet, flashing isn't hard it's just I hate opening the damn case. it's a fight every time, lol.1.51 is the latest and supports wave3 (and supposedly any new waves that come after.)

gavin19 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I re-flashed my BENQ in minutes with that 360 Mod Disc that's floating about. No more need for flash drives! The only reason I even bothered was cause the Hannah Montana I grabbed for my daughter turned out to be Wave 3, despite no obvious mention of it. Oh well, I suppose I would have had to do it sooner or later.
L.S.D Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Hmmm, I need to downgrade to 1.1 since my BenQ did not support 1.51 (seems that only BenQ Lite on can install 1.51). Anyway, all games worked now
solidius23 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 i dont know why i cant get the 360 flashing down i guess i will always be a 360 noob lol. i have a lite on i dont know if they are stilla biatch to flash or not i heard u had to have some type of probe or something.
Inky Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 yeah the Lite-ons need a special probe for the initial firmware dump. if you don't have your original firmware backed up on your PC I believe you'll need a probe to dump the current firmware too. I still haven't gotten around to it. lol, nothing has come out worth the effort yet.

Wave 3 games won't play after you go to a stealthed (for xbox live online) 1.51.Wait a few weeks and iX1.6 will be out

I was hoping to hold out until 1.6 comes out in a few weeks, but I really wanna play the wolverine game. if I am not feeling ultra lazy in the morning I may just go ahead. I've had all the files on my computer to do it for a month now.

I've had all the files on my computer to do it for a month now. I'm passing up games because really nothing has caught my eye since Fable 2/Fallout 3. I did flash to 1.51 a few weeks back purely because of that Hannah Montana game for my daughter. Needless to say it was awful, but even more awful than I could have imagined. I was using my 360 pretty much exclusively for streaming since my Xbox1 obviously can't handle HD, but then I bought one of those Western Digital 1080p players. There is no ethernet port so I have to put everything onto a flash drive or my external Seagate but it plays everything natively, including the current format of choice, mkv. My TV only displays 720p/1080i but this little box even downscales 1080p to play at either 720p or 1080i. I did fire up GTA4 last week for a while but really it's just gathering dust.

Inky Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 flashed today, it was a little bit of a pain, the flashing software wouldn't recognize my drive until I plugged it in to the first SATA port. after that it was like 3 minutes.
