That said, it really does have the most immersive, well thought out and most interactive narrative of any RPG I've ever seen. But then I don't really think much of most RPG stories so whatever. The main part is that the FPS combat is boring and mehish. Considering the enormous number of good shooters on the 360, unless you are particularly inclined to science fiction or long drawn out RPGs definitely try this before buying. I enjoyed everything but the combat. but I didn't like the play mechanics of Gears of War either. I was so disappointed that I started a thread here to whine about it... ...but now having played it through once and tried my hand online I really love it. The biggest 180 turn I've ever done on a game. Halo is a different thing totally to Gears. It was good for its time but it hasn't aged all that well and its sequels are more of the same. It was the same thing as the last 2 games. But I think I'll be happy with ME one I get into it. I've been reading up and it looks like it's really wide-open.
