Shibathedog Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Please tell me they fixed whatever was going on with Dual-Core processors in Episode 1, and it Isn't like that in episode 2. Theres some stupid bug in it thats been there for awhile, it has something to do with dual-core processors or DDR2 RAM at certain speeds (Its some really specific detail that effects a good portion of people, but apparently not enough for them to fix it unless they just did) that makes episode 1 unplayable, it runs like crap and crashes all the damn time. Anyway i spent the entire morning today playing TF2, its fantastic, I can't wait to go home and play portal (is it multiplayer?) and the other games that came with it, hopefully i can finally finish episode 1 and then play 2. There is no way you can't buy the orange box, all these games are instant classics and its such a bargain. My friend refuses to buy it for some faggot reason and I think im going to have to kick his ass. He doesn't know anything about them and he insists they are going to suck. http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/...?q=orange%20box Damn look how much they suck
Lucandrake Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I'm craving this package, it was on my "Must Buy List" for my 360, but I sold it and my PC is staying game free for now .

Thaggomizer Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 ahahahahahaah oh man that review is aweome. I love this guy.
Agozer Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I was really surprised how short Episode 1 was. The Zombines are a nasty bunch. The only gripe I have with Episode 2 (and Sorce gmes in general) if the ungodly amount of HD D space they take. EP2 takes the cake, since not only does it need it's own resource files, but it also needs EP1's shared files, plus the base Source files as well. Nearly 10 GBs worth, all in all. Does anyone else have a bug where the game slows down to a crawl after the Vortigaunts start bringing Alyx back and Freeman starts seeing things? You know, after getting the shining extract? P.S. Portal is still cute.
Bambi Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I felt it was the perfect length. I bought the Orange box only for Portal and it felt like a mini game added on the disc, I finished it in about 6 hours and some puzzles were way to easy. I liked the final boss battle though, it was fun.
Mag Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 portal, it was so epic I just can't describe in words. The awesome humor (could perhaps be the funniest game I've played), the addictive puzzle, the credits, everything was just <3 It was the only thing I <3 the most in orange box. Goddamn I still play it trying to finish all the advance levels. Fuuck it, Portal alone worth the price of the orange box. YOu can't miss it, it's just too good. finished it in one day, around 4 hours I believe. mmmmm delicious cake.
Bambi Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Yes, Yes the cake tasted good after finishing the advance levels

I bought it mainly for Ep. 2 and TF2 and was expecting Portal to be some fun 3 or so hour diversion. I was so wrong about Portal. It turned out to be one of the most amazing and fun games I have played in a long time (but Ep. 2 is better ).
Bambi Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I'm playing through the episodes in order, I finished HL2 and I'm on ep. 1 now. I wish they left the blue gravity gun through out the whole thing though
