John Travolta Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Anyone found any good quality free Speecial effects software?
John Travolta Posted October 6, 2007 Author Posted October 6, 2007 What kind of effects are you after.. ?Like(or close)to the ones in the Inspector Gadget Movies
BlackKnight Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 I'm totally lost on this subject so I'll just recommend the stuff you really want and not skirt around 'free' bs alternatives... Get Adobe Aftereffects and cut it Premiere Pro. They're easy to pick up and use. I haven't seen the Inspector Gadget movies (I don't want them messing with my memories) but I assume you're talking about fancy wipes, transitions and picture in picture stuff- Aftereffects is enough for that.

Shibathedog Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 If your talking about 3D graphics Maya and 3DS Studio Max are good, theres a few others too, but this is something that is alot of work, its extremely hard.

Gryph Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Hahahaha. If you can't do that then what makes you think you can put them in a movie? Have some realistic goals.

Gryph Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 I'm sorry but the special effects business is a very tough one. It requires years of training. You can't just expect to download some software, make a few models (especially asking people on the internet to do it free), and plop them into a movie. That's unrealistic. What is it exactly you want to do?
