Updated Drivers...

Would it be possible to post the updated mame drivers in the above pinned topic? Some of the first few drivers are from 2004, and the neogeo code has changed within mame since that time.

I have completely no idea what has been going with neogeo emulation because I lost interest

Good morning CyborgSuperman, I saw your thread on IQ's forum. Mind you don't get killed by the real Superman.

 

James and I have different ideas of coding, perhaps we need one thread each, and people could choose the one that suits them. (j/k)

 

I prefer subroutines for the decrypt routines because I believe it aids in readability, and a subroutine can be shared amongst drivers.

 

James puts all the code in the DRIVER_INIT, the advantage of this is it's a lot easier to post a single driver on the forum.

 

Each to his own I guess.

 

 

edit: I'll let James put his drivers up, but if he doesn't want to or doesn't have the time, then I'll put mine up instead.

The changes are only minor.

 

Anyway the only time I use subroutines is when the driver is shared.

In many case I post the driver as a single driver on the forum as it makes things simple for the user to copy the single driver.

 

What robbert tends to call subroutines is mostly a format used by FBA
