Most neogeo sets have roms named xxx-s1.rom, xxx-p1.rom, etc.

But some old sets have something else completely different like N138001A.178 etc.

Any NRX version 4 series cannot handle these and will quit when encountering these older-style sets.

It's the major problem with the hacked NRX.

So why do they call this final then? If it can't play older roms.

Is there a way to play on psx? Like you could with dreamcast by chance.

No, there are no Neo-Geo emulators for the Playstation, only ports.

NeoCD/PS2 is a open source NeoGeo CD emulator running on the Sony Playstation 2. It is a port of NeoCD/SDL, the excellent NeoGeo CD emulator by Foster. Since there is actually no SDL library on the PS2, all SDL portions have been removed and replaced by PS2 "native" libraries (using PS2SDK). The NeoCD/PS2 source code is distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

Third beta release of the CDDA release !

Changelog:

- More CDDA fixes

- Fixed/added auto-loop feature (CDDA)

- (re)Fixed missing sfx in aerofighters 2 (and maybe others)

- Fixed most Buzzing noise cases

- drive now stop spinning when CDDA is set to OFF

Yes, for those who noticed, this version is the 0.6c, and not 0.6b.

The 0.6b version has been released in the neocd forum only, Why ? because... I was too lazy to update the site ? or It was a vip version reserved to people visiting the forum ? ;)

Both binary and sources are available in the download section.

enjoy.

Neo CD != (does not equal) neogeo ;)

What I was going to say. Besides, damulta was talking about the PSX (Playstation) and not about the PS2 (Playstation 2), and suddenly he switched it. What the hell is up with that?

Furthermore, even with that neoCD for the PS2, he wouldn't be able to play the newest games. Actually, no post-1998 games have CD versions anyway.

That's not entirely true... there are neo CD conversions of some MVS titles (Ghostlop, Pnyaa, Zupapa, etc) but they're definitely smaller titles, and usually are missing some sounds.
