Total Overdose demo

Last night someone recommended the demo to this not very well known game, Total Overdose. I must say that I was thoroughly impressed because it was fun as hell. I've played it atleast 5 times already.

The game doesn't have very good graphics, in fact it looks like something from 2002 but don't let that dissuade you since the gameplay is great. Think of it like El Mariachi (a movie with lots of Mexicans and guns) + GTA (minus the full cities, it just has cars) + Max Payne (slow mo shoot dodging) + Tony Hawk (you can rack up points with cool killing combos.)

I went in with zero expectations thinking it was going to be just a lame GTA/Max Payne ripoff with Mexicans. I was very pleasantly surprised and will probably be buying it since I'm pretty sure it's a budget title. There's just something really fun about jumping out of a speeding fuel tanker and shooting 2 guys midair while the tanker hits a wall and explodes killing 2 more guys. All in slow motion ofcourse.

I'll definatly try this out, Sweet Games with bad graphics=It will work on both my PCs and still be fun to play, so hopefully it has multiplayer ;)

No multiplayer. But it was nice to play a game that I could completely max out on my computer. It's been a while since I could do that.

I have to agree with Mr. G, this game suprised me in a positive way. There's nothing like doing a cartwheen off a wall in slow motion while shooting everything in sight. The game's humorous too, which is always a plus.

Well i have a feeling that its going to be a really nice final product

They are focusing more on the GAMEPLAY, more than the GRAPHICS!!! HEAR ME DEVELOPERS HEAR MEEEE!!!!

I once heard that graphics design takes up either half, or more of the development time of modern games, and i wouldnt doubt it.

I honestly dont give a crap about graphics, i still own an Atari 2600, Just make fun games damnit, FUN GAMES!!!
