Metal Slug 5 Help Please

I am using NeoRAGEx to play metal slug. I can play normally with metal slug 1, 2, 3, 4, and x. But for some reason, when I try to play metal slug 5, i get this:

 

 

I can hear the sound properly, but the graphics are messed up. Can someone please tell me what to do to fix that?

I think this means you have an encrypted P ROM. NeoRage can't use that. You'll have to find a decrypted version.

No, we can't help you find it because it is against the rules. Go read them, it does you good. You need a P1 designed for NeoRAGEx.

His problem isn't version-related.

Yes, but the P1 and M1 rom determine how the graphics are loaded.

The M1 has nothing to do with how the graphics are loaded...

As for his problem, he's probably using a P with the bankswitch still intact. He needs to use a P without any protections. The Graphic are quite clearly not from encrypted Cs, they are just scrambled as they would be if the P was wrong.

Not very likely, but I've seen sets with flocked up C roms, when the P was good. These sets were tampered with.

I think that he is using "normal" NeoRageX which cannot run mslug5 without problems. I also have problems with graphic with mslug5 running under NeoRageX 0.6b and 0.8 while same romset works fine under EGCG NeorageX

Metal Slug 5 works fine under 0.8c. At least, for me it does.
