Darken Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 I finaly got the game but when I play it on VGS the emulator crash when the game get to the map???I also try it on EPSXE 1.6 & 1.52 and the game work but when I reach CH3 the game freez when there`s a talk..... I try to change the sound and video plug but the problame still with every pulg??? WHAT SHOULD I DO
Agozer Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 Valkyrie Profile has been buggy on the actual console as well, dialogue freezing and such. Then again, there have been reports that VP can be played to the end using ePSXe. That's being said, ePSXe is still your best choice out of all the other emulators, although PSXeven might be a good option as well. Now for the required babble: What plugins are you using?
Darken Posted May 21, 2005 Author Posted May 21, 2005 I`m using video:Pete's GPU Plugins 1.75 sound:Pete's DSound SPU 1.15 I also try Eternal SPU 1.41 P.E.Op.S. DSound 1.9
Agozer Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 I'd suggest OpenGL if your card can handle it. But anyway, I just took a look at my ePSXe configuration notes... use Eternal SPU and make sure you enable 'SPU IRQ - wait CPU action' and 'SPU IRQ - Force interruption flag7'.
Darken Posted May 21, 2005 Author Posted May 21, 2005 aren`t there any way to make the VGS run it....any patch or something
Agozer Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 I haven't used VGS myself and I'd say that it's quite outdated. You can check http://www.aldostools.com for some tools for VGS, but I son't know if they're actually worth anything.
Darken Posted May 25, 2005 Author Posted May 25, 2005 Ok..... after along search I find this:about VGS forget it the emulator can`t support the 2d and 3d at the same time and the patch dose not work (for me at least).EPSXE have a probalme with the dialog but this problame can be solve by don`t use the quick save from the emulator and use the orginal way to save (memory card)...but if you can`t break that happit (like me ) all you have to do is :1-save on memory before entring any area to have a new hero. 2-rerun the emulator and load from the memory card.3-Now you can enter the area and have the dialog befectly.this step work with me........ if any one have a problame please post here to let us know.
Agozer Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Hmm... It's great that it works now. I've never used quicksaves (savestates) in ePSXe anyway.
Thunder In Paradise Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 If you playing VP off an ISO, then it could be a bad rip also. If that's the case, then try re-ripping the ISO from another source.
montpics Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 aren`t there any way to make the VGS run it....any patch or something<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Don't even think about trying it on Valkyrie Profile as the emulator still having buggy on that game even you tried with Emurayden as well. And I use ePSXe and PSXeven with no problems on two versions of Valkyrie Profile game (Japanese and English version as well.) Pete's OpenGL 2.6Eternal SPU (Click on Valkyrie Profiles fixes)SaPu CD plugin Good luck.
Max Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Here's what Badaro from NGemu posted: 95% of the problems with Valkyrie Profile are due to sound configuration: 1) Very Important: Go into to Config -> Sound, and make sure the last checkbox ("Enable SPU IRQ hack") is not checked.2) Use either Peops' DSound, or Eternal for SPU plugin.3a) Settings for Eternal SPU:- Audio out method: SPUasync- Check "SPU IRQ - Wait CPU action"- Check "SPU IRQ - Force interruption flag7"3b) Settings for Peops' DSound:- Mode: "2 - Use SPUasync"- Check "SPU IRQ - Wait for CPU action"
Agozer Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 SPUasync method is most likely not needed, since the developer of Eternal SPU plugin says that that this mode may cause problems in games like Valyrie Profile, Star Ocean Second Story, and Metal Gear Solid (basically games that use any sort of SPU IRQ). I've never used Async method and Valkyrie Profile has never frozen on me. Then again, testing doesn't hurt either.
