  1. In regards of the OUT OF MEMORY error, I see that CPS3 games are in this build but they dont work because of the RAM issue. Is there a planned CPS3 XBE core down road to handle these games ala Cave Shumps?

    Interesting that you mention that...

does this mean that fbl 1.x will be able to play cps3 games soon?

    ...and cpx3 will be obsolete??

  2. take that xbox 360!!!

I'm trying to create a full romset, but get some messages when the datfile is loaded.

    hey bigby,

if your making a rom set... could you include the sf2 hacks, kof & samsho one also? and if you wouldn't mind, separate the pr0n into a different folder too.

    thanks :)

  3. Just a couple of tidbits about the upcoming release;

Firstly there will be a new default skin (by Neil222) with an arcade-cabinet style. And secondly, to complement this, I've added marquee support. So as well as your screenshot or video preview the game's unique marquee image will appear at the top of the cabinet for an authentic look.

I'm also planning to include a full set of screenshot AND marquee images either as part of the 1.4 package or as downloadable extras (depending on size) so you will get what is in my opinion the best and most slick looking GUI on the Xbox straight out-of-the-box. :)

    downloadable extras ehh...

    xtra's...

    emu...

    ;)

  4. would it be possible to add the following:

multiple roms path edit in the actually emu options too. i store my roms in a folder seperate from my emu's.

turn off xbox on exit option

multiple title screenshots path edit in the actually emu option too. again, screenshots in a different path on my xbox and so the same pix can be used for mame.

    mahalo B)

  5. im ( we are ^^) really waiting for your work (if you can consider releasing it in September; it would be a great wedding gift B))...and i'll continue my work on the "shmup skin" i want to release ;) (even if im not skilled like Neil, i really want to make it available soon..shmups deserve it ^^)

Well I was more thinking of releasing in the next couple of days but if you'd rather I waited til September then I couldn't refuse the wish of a condemned man. (j/k, congratulations :D)

Speaking of skins, I wanted to swap the default skin for one of Neil222's since they really are excellent. I've tried emailing him through the forum to ask his permission to do so but I'm unsure if he's able to receive messages since he's sadly no longer active here. If anybody here is registered on any other forum he frequents could they possibly pass on my request? Many thanks.

Finally I just want to say that I certainly have no interest in being 'first' to release a build with iq_132's drivers. I'm sure everyone here knows the quality of the emulation experience provided by FBL and I promise you won't find that anywhere else. The real deal is coming. Accept no substitutes. ;)

i sent neil222 a pm over at -CENSORED-... he should get it.

  6. Clearly it would be great to have the option for both but right now I'm interested in which people would prefer if it could be either one way or the other.

    Quoted for clarity.

could ya tweak mameox next... B)

I'd like to have a go with MAMEoX as I'm sure there are many drivers that could be added from subsequent versions of MAME. Unfortunately the source to MAMEoX128Plus which I consider to be the most solid version of the MAME core on the Xbox was never made available so I'd be going back to the same old version that CoinOPS is based on. Plus there's the issue of time as well, I'd like to make a go of keeping FBL alive and I won't be able to devote the kind of time I have over the last couple of weeks to it on a continuous basis, so it'll be a case of doing what I can when I can which doesn't really allow for a second concurrent project.

well... your doing a fine job. keep on keepin' on.

  7. While we're discussing screen sizes, can I just ask everyone a question? Currently FBL uses separate screen size settings for every single game and I've always found it inconvenient having to adjust each game individually to fit my screen, and even more inconvenient having to use approximate values meaning that no two games are ever exactly the same size. I've also never come across a situation where I need a particular game to have it's own separate screen settings.

So my question is this; would it be better to just use a single global screen size setting for all games similar to the system MAMEoX and it's derivatives use? So any changes you make to the screen size are carried over to all games or do people actually use the individual sizes for some purpose? Clearly it would be great to have the option for both but right now I'm interested in which people would prefer if it could be either one way or the other.

i like your idea... madmab emu's do this and it's very convient. i have a 50" and having to adjust everytime i try a new game gets old.

could you somehow do this for capcom (sf2 type) & snk games too? i set the buttons a certain way and use the same set up for them all.

    side note:

could ya tweak mameox next... B)

  8. Thanks +T+

    appreciated :)

and i did nothing to help but extend this post to make take up more space... :)

  9. rayman was on the saturn too... that one rocked.

    oh wait...

a saturn emu on xbox... ^_^

If Yabause was ported to Xbox and tweaked for performance one would see it's not worth the effort in gaming terms.

Xbox simply doesn't have the raw grunt.

If he want's to be first for kudos sake then unlucky on that one, again :D

    Some lead, others just follow.

if bp does a "cut and paste" port then i won't touch it. i'm NOT using anything he does anymore... so exhausting. however if a certain"EMUlator eXTRA's" group has a stab at it then i'll be happy.

and i was just mentioning a saturn emu for xbox as a little "hehehe" joke. i know it ain't happening... OR IS IT!!

  10. phil did you see I fixed the xport console core bug to do with going into keymapping??? the one you was told was a direct x bug....if they ask me for the fix ill give it to them...it was very simple

anyways it will be standard in R3

    off topic troll... :)

  11. I respectfully suggest we focus on looking forward rather than debating past issues that I hope have no bearing on how things are now.

i second that... let's just move on.

    i'll start...

hey!! is there a saturn emulator for the xbox? :)

  12. no, only if you dont agree with bp's (error 404..lol) "vision", opinion, thoughts etc

so that's how it happened... i was wondering why he just suddenly clustered me with the emuxtra's crew.

  13. i understand what your talking about. i left for months last year and i even left the scene back in 2007, sold my modded xbox and my kid was born. but then the itch came back in 2009, got a new modded xbox and here i am.

i think we need to open a "AA" for this forum.

If you ever get another itch... we are always working on new things over at *snip*

mega man is right... you should head on over to

    yet!! ;-)
