    Well out of a full set that's not too many. Either your set was slightly newer than the one FBL uses, or slightly older. It can be hard tracking down slightly older individual roms after MAME has been updated, coz most romsites only keep the newest files up. Maybe someone with a fully green FBL romset will PM you and point you in the right direction. That won't be me though I'm affraid, I don't actually have a MAME set at the moment. I need to grab a 0.137 super set torrent at some point.

     

    i used mame .135 when i did this... no biggie on getting these now though. i haven't played fbl in over a month and a half.

Certain games will show yellow, which means that the game's romset has the files needed, but there's something wrong, like the name of the zip file, or there are uneeded files in the zip, it will tell you what the problem is. If you right click and select repair, it will make the needed changes, and then show green. If a game shows red, it means one or more files is missing from the zip. In that case, you need to find another romset for the game in question. I don't think you'll come accross too many reds, if any.

  3. Look for MAME v0.136. That's what you want.

     

    So with Romcenter, will it get rid of the roms that FBL doesnt use? or does it just tell you which ones it uses?

     

    yes, it will delete the ones not needed(i think depending on the setting). be sure to back-up your set before using romcenter. also, be sure that you have the latest neogeo bios too. i was able to get all but 5 roms fixed. you will have to do a manual repair on many roms... in romcenter, lots o fun.

    option is in the GUI now enable advanced settings and press right trigger two times and you will see paths...change extra roms path to roms2 or something like that

     

    I know aout that and about editing the mameox.ini. You helped me with that over at xbox-scene... Thx.

     

    My point is that mameox & mamedox had like 6 plus directories which could be set in the GUI... Ie noob friendly.

  5. But in reality things won't run better on Xbox 360 because its not programmed with its own SDK right?

     

    the xbox1 emu is made by microsoft. it was leaked. it should run xbox1 games fine and xbox1 "homebrew" should work in theory. i read that not every xbox1 emu is working properly or at all, but this could help in development.

     

    some of the emu's on the wii are just ports from the gamecube... so if they can do it why can't we?

    XBOX ONE Folder ONLY CAN PUT 4096 File

     

    How to do PUT ALL GAMES?

     

    can setup another folder in advanced settings others can be setup in the save mameox.ini.....ill add more but why would one want more than 8000 games :lol: I guess for collectors (you can actually setup 4 folders in the ini that could give you all 14000 games)

     

    i guess we'll never see an option in the actual gui for this... right?

    with the amount of consoles this is gonna support your gonna need different lists.

    the midway and ki thing would be awesome!!

     

    i think i would only use this for arcade as i am happy with nes and xports emu's.

     

    time to rename this as there are a ton of coinops ignite versions out there.

     

    start the "coinops combustion v1.0" name.

  8. Hi, I had a question for anyone who knows anything about how exactly Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 were ripped from the Midway Arcade collection. In the root of the folder there is no XBE for MK2 or MK3.... My question is how was this achieved? was it through Hex editing that someone edited an XBE to launch MK2.sr and MK3.sr???

     

    I am asking because I want to know if it is possible to apply the same technique to rip the classic Doom games off of the Doom 3 xbox disk so that they could be launched independently of Doom 3.

    ya sure that there is no default.xbe in the root of mk2 & mk3?

     

    when i got panzer dragoon 1 off of the panzer dragoon orta there was already a default.xbe and this is how most xbox games ran that had demo's and extra games.

  9. i don't normally go into the other 1emu forums here but is there similar "Drama" in those ones too?

     

    the xbox is what i would consider in it's hay-day of homebrew the "Number One Example" for other systems and beyond.

     

    it is too bad that this is what has happened to the scene.
