  1. Thanks for that, I know I'm long overdue to barge in.
  2. Just changed image host. See if you have any luck now.
  3. Haven't had much time for any lately, but if I did, I'd be running Kingdom Hearts 2 in PCSX2 (since it just got fixed tonight).
  4. Most that know me have seen it anyways, but me and my daughter in this one. I'll be updating with pics from England next month.
  5. Yeah, I'm going to make a special usergroup that only news staff are in and have that forum restricted from posting in, other than the ones that have permissions. I know he was joking, but that really doesn't look good. It's already removed.
  6. We probably in the middle of moving hosts when you couldn't log on. Anyways, we're now hosted by emulation64, so our uptime and speed should no longer be a factor. Feel free to stop by.
  7. I think there are humor detectors are on sale at radio shack, maybe you should pick one up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, with no smilies in that guy's post, it was pretty hard to tell.
  8. Not sure if that's supposed to be a joke or not, but if it isn't, I don't really think that's your decision to make.
  9. Just talked with GC on msn today, and it was a quick (but good discussion), so I'm putting this behind me.
  10. We are on a new server, with a new host. The flash has been replaced with a more efficient and functional CMS. Hope you guys like it.
  11. Due to personal reasons, I've decided that it would be best if I part ways with 1emulation. So, I wanted to take a moment to say my goodbyes and wish you all the very best. I will still be involved in the emulation scene, just not on here. Thanks to many members who made me feel at home here. May the emulation scene and life in general bring us more than we could hope for.
  12. I noticed this too. It turns out the CMPS I was using from vbulletins is causing problems with my headers. So, I'm just going to write up a page by hand that does sql fetches. The frontend I had in there caused me more problems than it was worth, making use of custom styles impossible at the moment. So until I get the headers fixed and some other things, I've reverted back to the flash page on a temporary basis until I can get a complete working (and hopefully trouble-free) frontend up.
  13. Hmmm, thanks, I'll look into that. What style was it on when you saw missing buttons? And as for logo, that's being done atm. It's a very basic (and incomplete) frontend. Just put it up tonight.
  14. Sorry for the bump, but wanted to mention that I had changed the homepage to a front end for the forums (much like what's done here). Anyways, it's still far from complete (needs logo and other content), but it's there. Anyways, opinions would be appreciated.
  15. So, any hints on how I would use my news forum as a backend and have posts made in it appear on the home page? I'm totally lost on how to do that, and since you guys do it here, I figured you could maybe point me in the right direction.
  16. That's why I've decided to change the whole homepage, and go with something more standard. But I need some help with it, as me and php aren't exactly best friends.
  17. OK, I'm about to redesign the homepage, and I'm wanting to do a more standard site design. I plan to use the forums as a backend and have the news posts show on the front page, so any help on how I'd do that would be greatly appreciated. I know that's what you guys do here, and it's a pretty good standard. I imagine that means a php homepage, though I'm not certain how I'd set it up. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
  18. When PS3 owns em all, I'll be back to remind you that Sony still rules the world. Call me a Playstation fanboy for all I care, but this console series has dominated the market since PS1 hit the scene more than a decade and a half ago.
  19. This was kinda how I felt too. I'm thinking I may take some time and put together something in php/cgi, etc..... Thanks Samor.
  20. Thanks for the kind words guys. I know the loading time is rather long (depending on your available bandwidth) since the final swf was slightly more than 1.5 MB. I wanted to go for something a little different. I may attempt to make a home page in PHP, etc.. But for now I'll test run this one and see how it does. Agozer: Yes, this site was made from a template I put together about a year ago and I was saving it for the right time. I think that time has come. I just used 3DSMax8 and Flash Pro 8 to put the animations together.
  21. OK, just so it's known, I'm not doing this to compete with anyone, I'm not trying to make something big. I just want to contribute to the wonderful technology that is emulation. And the reason I'm stating this, is because everyone I've shown my site to has misunderstood why I set it up. Anyways, it's a rather new site (just about a week old, so the forums are still a tad empty, which will hopefully change. All that aside, anyone is welcome to stop by and have a look or register if they so wish. Basically though I'm looking for feedback on site design, etc... So please feel free to let me know what you think. General Emulation
  22. Apparently, PS2NFO has gotten word of this yet.Original Post Link
  23. The Disc ID is also known as the DNAS. If a PS2 game is copied as a backup, the Disc ID becomes corrupted, but the game will still work. However, if the Disc ID is corrupt, then online play (if the game has it) will not work, as the server checks the DNAS of the game before allowing it on the server. By using the Disc ID Utility, you can get the DNAS of your original game before you back it up, then you can jot the ID down and use a patcher to patch the ISO before burning it. This allows for backups to be played online. I was in a chat earlier with auMatt (an author for PCSX2), where he told me nobody had ever gotten the ID utility to work on any model above v8. According to him, mine is the first to report it working correctly.
  24. ummm, I wasn't reallly trying to make a threat, I'm sorry if it seemed that way.
