  2. So what does FuSa do?

It allows you to play games on ANY TV over ANY cable.

    ( composite, component, svideo, d-terminal )

All kinds of cables are supported!

Besides that, it allows you to play on full screen area!

So has anyone tried this yet and does it really work? I have not and think I am going to give it a go. So let me know what you all think.

    Get it HERE

    Changes

    BUILD 32

    - Full GTA games series support

    - Connection is stable now (You can freely enter menus in GTA :) )

    - No more extra noise or stammer!

    - New settings added

    - And more... (I've just forgotten what I'd implemented there else, sry :P )

There was a lot of requests about fullscreen feature, that we decided to implement it next build (I mean mode N. 1! see FAQ at our site | mode N. 2 will be released some time later )

So be patient, we remember about your suggestions, just give us some time :)

  3. MagicEngine 1.1.2 is a Commercial PC Engine emulator.

    Get it HERE

    Change log

    What's new?

    ----------

    v1.1.2:

    - added a new option in the pce.ini file

'[misc] screen_resolution' to display the current

screen resolution of the PC-Engine under the FPS counter

    - moved the 'fullscreen' option from the ratio menu to

the zoom menu, like that it's now possible to select

fullscreen stretch while preserving the aspect ratio,

this can be useful for exemple for those who have

    a 16:9 wide monitor

    - fixed the slow down problem when the Supergrafx emulation

    was enabled

  4. DesMuMe mods is a Nintendo DS emulator based on DeSmuME.

    Get it HERE

    Change log

-Added Alpha-test in 3D core, no more color squares around the textures

    -Fixed blending in 3D core

-Implemented GXFIFO IRQ : this is a ugly hack but games needing this (ie. New Super Mario Bros) now work

-Fixed depth clearing in 3D core, this fixes black sky bug in Mario64

-Implemented 3D PosTest, this fixes a mini-game in RRR2 (next version will probably feature BoxTest and VecTest)

-Noticeable speed-up, thanks to Shash (now executes 16 instructions at a time)

-Fixed 2 bugs in sound core (loop feature) :

-----Fixed sound length being increased on multiple channel status (key-on) writes

-----Added ability to write Loopstart and Length registers while sound is playing

-----For info : these fixes also fix garbage sound when using "Fold NDS" option

    -Added a sound resampling func

-The GUI now uses DirectDraw to display the framebuffer

-----This was hard to implement, but it is WAY faster and better than GDI

-----When you stretch the window, the emu doesn't slow down and the image keeps beautiful (not pixellized)

-----If DirectDraw init fails, the emu will simply use GDI instead

-----DirectDraw is not used when using rotation

-Added CPU low-power mode, this allows RaymanDS to show 3 intros (it is better, but it still doesn't work)

-Fixed 2 bugs in capture unit :

-----Captured bitmap was "invisible" due to alpha values not set.

-----The captured image was only the half of the requested size (128 pixels in width instead of 256)

-----These fixes fix some NSMB/Mario64 mini-games, displaying 3D on both screens (no more flicker, but 3D is still reversed )

-----Now, DeSmuME is able to pass 4/6 tests (see further posts, NDS graphic test app)

-Added some hacks in VRAM handling, the sprites in NSMB minigames look correct, but now the pause buttons are incorrect (I plan to rewrite all VRAM handling in next release, current handling is crappy, plenty of TODO and FIXME)

-Wiimote support is not ready, so disabled

Credit goes to NHerve of ngemu.com as this is his release.

  7. So You Feel Like I Do - Peter Frampton

    Best song of the Seventy's

Well, woke up this morning with a wine glass in my hand.

Whose wine? What wine? Where the hell did I dine?

Must have been a dream I don't believe where I've been.

Come on, let's do it again.

Do you...you, feel like I do?

    How'd ya feel?

Do you...you, feel like I do?

My friend got busted, just the other day.

They said,Don't walk, don't walk, don't walk away.

Drove him to a taxi, bent the boot, hit the bag.

Had to play some music, wonder why's he [brag or drag].

Do you...you, feel like I do?

How'd ya [turns from mic, can't catch it]?

    Do you...you, feel like I...

    [1st guitar solo]

Do you...you, feel like I do?

    Yes ya do.

Do you...you, feel like I do?

Champagne for breakfast and a Sherman in my hand.

Peached up, Peached Ale, never fails.

Must have been a dream I don't believe where I've been.

Come on, let's do it again.

Do you...you, feel like I do?

    How'd ya feel?

    Do you...you, feel like I...

    [keyboard solo]

Bob Mayo, on the keyboards. Bob Mayo

Do you feel like we do?

Do you feel like we do?

    Oh, that's true.

Do you feel like we do?

    Get back.

Do you feel..do you feel like we do?

    [2nd guitar solo]

    [start voice box]

    Oh baby do you feel?

Oh baby do you feel, feel like we do?

Do you feel...do you feel...like we do?

    I want to thank you.

Do you feel like we do?

That's alright, that's alright to feel you'd like,

Feel you'd like, a good time.

We'll goto bed and good night.

Good time, good time, good time, good time, good time.

  8. Baby I Love Your Ways - Peter Frampton

Shadows grow so long before my eyes

And they're moving across the page

Suddenly the day turns into night

    Far away from the city

But don't hesitate 'cuz your love won't wait

Ooh baby I love your way (everyday)

Wanna tell you I love your way

Wanna be with you night and day

Moon appears to shine and light the sky

With the help of some fireflies

I wonder how they have the power to shine, shine, shine

I can see them under the pine

    But don't hesitate'cuz your love won't wait

Ooh baby I love your way (everyday)

Wanna tell you I love your way

Wanna be with you night and day

    But don't hesitate'cuz your love won't wait

I can see the sunset in your eyes

Brown and grey and blue besides

Clouds are stalking islands in the sun

I wish I could buy one out of season

    But don't hesitate'cuz your love won't wait

Ooh baby I love your way (everyday)

Wanna tell you I love your way

Wanna be with you night and day

Ooh baby I love your way (everyday)

Wanna tell you I love your way

Wanna be with you night and day

  9. Show Me The Way - Peter Frampton

    I wonder how your feeling

    There's ringing in my ears

And no one to relate to 'cept the sea

    Who can I belive in

    I'm kneeling on the floor

There has to be a force who do I phone

The stars are out and shinning, but all I really want to know...

Oh won't you show me the way

I want you ...show me the way

Well, I can see no reason

    You living on your nerves

When someone drops a cup and I submerge

    I'm swimming in a circle

    I feel I'm going down

There has to be a fool to play my part

Well someone thought of healing, but all I really want to know...

Oh won't you show me the way (everyday)

I want you ...show me the way

I want you day after day

    I wonder if I'm dreaming

    I feel so unashamed

I can't belive this is happening to me

I watch you when you're sleeping, and then I want to take your love

Oh won't you show me the way (everyday)

I want you ...show me the way

I want you day after day

Oh won't you show me the way (everyday)

I want you ...show me the way

I want you day after day

  10. A bipartisan bill was introduced in the US House of Representatives Wednesday aimed at forcing stores to card minors attempting to purchase video games rated "Adults Only" or "Mature." It's not the first time such legislation has been tried.

"Too many children are spending too much time playing inappropriate video games that most parents would find shocking and objectionable," reads a statement from the bill's principal sponsor, Rep. Lee Terry (R - Neb.), on behalf of co-sponsor Rep. Jim Matheson (D - Utah). "As a parent, I know that I'm the first line of defense against my kids playing Mature-rated video games. But parents can't be everywhere monitoring everything and some reasonable, common sense rules ought to be in place to back parents up."

As H.R. 5990 currently reads, "It shall be unlawful for any person to ship or otherwise distribute in interstate commerce, or to sell or rent, a video game that does not contain a rating label, in a clear and conspicuous location on the outside packaging of the video game, containing an age-based content rating determined by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board."

The Entertainment Software Rating Board issues a "Mature" rating to video games with content it deems appropriate only for people 17 years of age or older, while the "Adults Only" tag is reserved for much more objectionable content, for gamers at least 18 years old. Rep. Terry hopes the official acknowledgment of the ESRB rating system will give his bill a better chance of staying the law of the land once the President signs it.

Similar to Matheson's failed H.R. 5345 bill two years ago, retailers would be required to post video game ratings "in a clear and conspicuous location." Any store found in violation would be forced to pay a fine up to $5,000. The Federal Trade Commission would be responsible for penalizing retailers.

Even though it's impossible to stop folks over 17 from purchasing M-rated games for minors, Rep. Matheson said the bill would help ensure minors will be less likely to buy it without their parents' permission. This is Matheson's second attempt to co-author such legislation.

Several stores, including Wal-Mart and GameStop, already card M-rated content purchasers. Stores in California and other states also sporadically card shoppers who attempt to purchase video games known to contain violence.

In May 2006, the state of Oklahoma signed H.B. 3004 into law, which added games with "inappropriate violence" to a growing list of items considered harmful for minors. The Entertainment Software Association announced soon afterward it would file a lawsuit against Oklahoma, claiming the bill would restrict Sooners' First Amendment rights.

Earlier in 2008, a similar law in Minnesota was blocked by a federal appeals court, stopping a law that would have fined minors $25 if they were caught attempting to purchase or rent video games with the "M" or "AO" rating.

Similar pieces of legislation in California, Michigan, and Louisiana have been shot down over possible First Amendment violations. California passed legislation in October 2005 supported by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger ® that would make sale to minors illegal, and would force the clear labeling of video games. That law was struck down in August 2007 by a US District Court. Gov. Schwarzenegger appealed the decision, though at this point it will likely never become law.

Late last year, both US Senators and presidential candidates were put in the hot seat when they were asked to discuss the controversy surrounding the controversial launch of Manhunt 2.

Presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton (D - N.Y.) and Sen. Joe Lieberman (I - Conn.) have supported legislation both on the state and federal level, and worked with the ESRB for a nationwide television campaign to inform parents about violent video games in 2006.

Critics of game legislation claim more must be done to educate parents about video game ratings, saying game legislation is not the answer. Furthermore, critics say minors can purchase the same video games via the Internet with the use of a debit or credit card without having to prove they are over the age of 17 or 18.

The FTC's most recent "undercover shopper" test discovered that 80% of 253 minors were turned down when they tried to purchase M-rated games. Its test the year before found only 58% of children were turned down, and Rep. Matheson claims 42% of unsupervised teens aged 13 to 16 could purchase M-rated video games in 2005.

I am confused here. I thought that all games had a rating system on the outside of the package already. At least every game I have bought for the last 3 years has. I guess they want to make the stores have it in plain site so there is no confusion in what the rating is so that no minor can accidentally buy it. $5000 fine for retailer if not up to code. A bit stiff if you ask me. Well they got a rating for lyrics on Music cds so I guess games are next.

  11. A Microsoft executive has thrown cold water on hopes that the company would try again with Yahoo, and sources indicate the company has released its proxy slate of would-be Yahoo directors.

During a tour of company executives in Jakarta, Indonesia on Thursday, Chief Research and Strategy Officer Craig Mundie told Reuters that Microsoft considers its efforts to acquire Yahoo over, and that the company had moved on to what he termed as "Plan B."

Those plans essentially are a continuation of what Microsoft had already been doing: strengthening its online presence, and attempting to catch up to Yahoo and Google in the battle for search.

He would not completely rule out a reconsideration if Yahoo would approach it and say it would consider Microsoft's top offer, which stood at $33 per share. Microsoft is not expecting that to happen, however.

Two weeks ago, Microsoft assembled a high-power slate of proxy directors for nomination to Yahoo's board, in the event such a nomination was necessary to carry out the will of its shareholders to merge with Microsoft. That slate reportedly included former and current high-level executives with such firms as Nextel Partners and Adelphia.

In what many took as an indication that a proxy fight will not happen, it has been widely reported that these would-be directors were given their release by Microsoft earlier this week. Those directors would be free to join any other shareholder-led proxy battle, which is already underway, though it looks like Microsoft would not offer official support in the matter.

But as Silicon Valley Insider blogger -- and former infamous trader -- Henry Blodget believes, the release of the proxy slate was just a formality, an indication that Microsoft will not attempt a hostile bid at this time. Such a move might actually pave the way, he implied, for a later, non-hostile in the future -- presumably for a much lower amount.

A deadline for nominations for the board of directors comes on May 15. While shareholders are working to have an opposition slate set up by then, its not clear if they would be able to do so by the deadline.

Looks like it is done and over with. I know the shareholders of Yahoo were really pissed at the execs for not taking the dead. At one time I think they were even going to sue the execs of Yahoo over not accepting this deal. But for now it is done and over with. I knew that it would not happen anyway. Too much stake in Yahoo for them to just turn over and say ok.

  12. It's been almost one year since social music network Last.fm was acquired by CBS, and the site has opened "Last.fm/presents," offering original video content from prominent artists.

Last.fm says this is its first attempt at providing original content altogether, and Last.fm/presents has launched with exclusive interviews with Moby, Santogold, Spoon, and Joshua Radin. A following series of "high profile musicians" is being prepared for online broadcast.

Video content is being provided by CBS' Audience Network, which could be classed as a subnetwork of the television broadcaster. The network is aimed at distributing its video content to Web 2.0 sites, packaging them with in-video, pre- and post-roll, or overlaid advertisements, and providing them free of charge. The first videos on Last.fm/presents do not have any such advertisements.

Last.fm adds to the already extensive list of partners in the CBS Audience Network which includes AOL, Microsoft, CNET, Comcast, Sling Media, Amazon, Yahoo, Apple, Joost, Bebo, and Brightcove.

Pretty sweet some very interesting videos here that you will not see anywhere else from some some great not so well known bands.

  13. Take-Two Interactive Software Inc (TTWO.O) said on Friday that "Pirates of the Caribbean" director Gore Verbinski will make a movie version of "BioShock," its hit video game about an underwater utopia gone disastrously wrong.

The movie will be made by Universal Pictures, a unit of NBC Universal owned by General Electric Co (GE.N), and John Logan, writer of "Gladiator" and "Sweeney Todd," was in talks to pen the screenplay, Take-Two said.

"Gore is an avid video gamer and true fan of 'BioShock'. That was extremely important to us in deciding to move forward with this project," Christoph Hartmann, president of Take-Two's 2K Games label, said in a statement.

Take-Two did not disclose financial terms of the deal or other details, such as when the film would be released. The company is the target of a $2 billion takeover bid by rival game publisher Electronic Arts Inc.

Released last August for Microsoft Corp's (MSFT.O) Xbox 360 game console, "BioShock" won praise for its complex story, haunting art deco atmosphere and creepy characters such as Big Daddies and Little Sisters.

"BioShock" has sold more than 2 million copies and Take-Two is working on a sequel.

The "BioShock" movie deal is the latest sign of the growing importance of video games in popular culture.

Earlier this week, Take-Two said its "Grand Theft Auto 4" criminal action game racked up more than $500 million in global sales in its first week.

That handily topped Hollywood's biggest film debut, Verbinski's "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," which pulled in $406 million in global box office receipts in its first six days.

Microsoft made headlines when it signed "Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson to produce a movie adaptation of its hit "Halo" video game, but the project was put on hold in 2006 when financial backers Universal and 20th Century Fox, a unit of News Corp (NWSa.N) pulled out of the deal.

Sweet another horror movie based on a horror video game. Bring it on can't wait.

  15. LITTLE ROCK - It's a happy Mother's Day for an Arkansas woman — she's pregnant with her 18th child.

Michelle Duggar, 41, is due on New Year's Day, and the latest addition will join seven sisters and 10 brothers. There are two sets of twins.

"We've had three in January, three in December. Those two months are a busy time for us," she said, laughing.

The Duggars' oldest child, Josh, is 20, and the youngest, Jennifer, is nine months old.

The fast-growing family lives in Tontitown in northwest Arkansas in a 7,000-square-foot home. All the children — whose names start with the letter J — are home-schooled.

Duggar has been been pregnant for more than 11 years of her life, and the family is in the process of filming another series for Discovery Health.

The new show looks at life inside the Duggar home, where chores — or "jurisdictions" — are assigned to each child. One episode of the new show involves a "jurisdiction swap," where the boys do chores traditionally assigned to the girls, and vice versa, Duggar said.

"The girls swapped jurisdictions, changing tires, working in the garages, mowing the grass," she said. "The boys got to cook supper from start to finish, clean the bathrooms," among other chores.

Duggar said she's six weeks along and the pregnancy is going well. She and her husband, Jim Bob Duggar, said they'll keep having children as long as God wills it.

"The success in a family is first off, a love for God, and secondly, treating each other like you want to be treated," Jim Bob Duggar said. "Our goal is for each one of our children to be best friends, and everybody working together to serve each other makes that happen."

    The other Duggar children, in between Joshua and Jennifer, are Jana, 18; John-David, 18; Jill, 16; Jessa, 15; Jinger, 14; Joseph, 13; Josiah, 11; Joy-Anna, 10; Jeremiah, 9; Jedidiah, 9; Jason, 7; James, 6; Justin, 5; Jackson, 3; and Johannah, 2.

Damn and I thought 5 was a handful to take care of and provide for. This woman must be insane. She has spent 11 years of her 41 pregnant.

  18. Shipments of the Gran Turismo series of car racing games edged past the 50 million unit mark at the end of April, Sony said Friday.

The game was first launched in December 1997 for the original PlayStation console and has been through six incarnations since then. The seventh game in the series, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for the PlayStation 3, was launched in December 2007.

Gran Turismo differentiates itself from the myriad of other racing games available for the PlayStation with its realistic simulation of driving a racing car. Sony takes care to ensure that even features such as the engine noise is realistic to the car being driven, and winning is much more complex than hitting the accelerator and beating the other cars.

This attention to detail seems to have caught on with gamers, who made the first version a hit with sales of 10.8 million copies. The second version went on to sell 9.4 million copies and the third version, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec, became the best selling in the series with sales of 14.8 million copies. The latest version has so far seen sales, which for this title include downloads, of 2.2 million copies.

Despite the success there have been some hiccups along the way, usually in the form of delays.

The new Gran Turismo titles for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable have both seen their launch dates pushed back. Gran Turismo 5 for the PlayStation 3 won't be out for at least another year, Sony said in March this year, while Gran Turismo 4 for the PSP isn't due out until 2009.

Always loved this game the very first time I played in on the PSX. It is one of the best driving games around I think.
