  1. Using Lubuntu (Ubuntu with LXQT) 20.04.3. Downloaded the source from http://raine.1emulation.com/download/install.html PKGBUILD need makepkg. Makepkg is an Arch Linux tool. Not makepkg download for Ubuntu. The compiling files not are for Ubuntu. You say "need to edit the makefile and uncomment NO_ASM = 1" and reading the makefiles not need edit because is uncommented NO ASM. Trying copy the "raine" from bin to share/raine and not work. I not understand if you have used Retroarch for few previous versions. Retroarch current version allow cores to use several options with own core menu if the user need tweak settings. Is allowed the core to use or change default video driver to own compatible video driver for example if the user have configured video to vulkan and the core not use vulkan when starting the core will change the video driver to an compatible. Retroarch use SDL. Have cores with several menus changing how Retroarch use inputs and which BIOS, video, sound and others settings. Raine need BIOS configuration, cpu speed hacks and more few others settings. Video scaling, aspect ratio, filters and sounds filters are done using Retroarch internally. Is possible an Raine core having all required options. Ubuntu and some others PPA repositories not have Raine =( I not understand if is simple port Raine to Retroarch, but is the solution for users and also for others systems running Retroarch (PS2, PS3,PSP, mobile phones and others devices with slow cpu) because Raine is very fast and Retroarch only use MAME and another CPS1-CPS2-NeoGeo emulator and how MAME current version have slow performance in "old" devices is created an core using an extremely old MAME build. I have in moment downloaded some tools to convert the pkgbuild to Ubuntu and see problems at point to continue running Raine using WINE. I only want see if have an solution to run Raine without WINE and also seeing Raine running in Retroarch is the best solution and spread your emulator to others users having Playstation 2 or 3. I use Retroarch and need say the systems Atari 5200 (A800), 7800 (ProSystem), 3DO (Opera) and Jaguar (Virtual Jaguar) having errors. Atari 7800 and Jaguar are cores using old emulator versions, but have anothers emulators (A7800 and Phoenix) with accurate and fast performance that not have an Retroarch libretro core. I not understand if Neo Geo also is in list because I only use your emulator since an long time.
  2. I had downloaded the source code and compiled, but after Raine need dependencies. Not information about which are and also I had done a command that list all dependecies for an softwares and had installed the listed dependecies. Even thus Raine not had worked. I will try again. I have done an search with not results about Raine builds. You known any unofficial builds to say here ? About libretro core was more to spread your emulator to Retroarch users. I use Retroarch, but if not have any core using your Raine I not want use Neo Geo or other system there. I use your emulator for an long time thus is my choice. Again I not understand if is complex to port Raine to an libretro core since video and sound interfaces are pointed directly to Retroarch and not to OS plataform. Retroarch is the solution for Linux users. Thanks very for your reply and have an nice day.

  4. Your emulator is very good for Neo Geo and others systems. I not understand if is simple create an Raine libretro core thus running in Retroarch. Very good seeing Raine running in Retroarch thus avoiding use WINE in Linux systems. Thanks for read.
  5. Hello Tux. I known your Raine emulator since 2001. You had replied about the Raine 32 bits being the main version. Why Raine 32 bits is the main version ? 32 bits version emulation is more accurate, stable or fast than 64 bits ? Thanks for read. Have an nice week.
  6. I only need avoid open the second menu and the autofire works without problem. I only want report the strange changes in menu and autofire not working when happen that issue. KOF is good using autofire for some characters. Have an nice week.
  7. When autofire work the menu is exactly how image 1, but when autofire is broken the autofire menu is shown how image 2. Even if seems that two images are same trying changing autofire setting when the menu is how image 2 autofire not work.

  11. Thanks for reply. If holding a button not using autofire works, but holding a button for autofire not works. I not have information if is anything in WINE, but works holding button not having autofire. Another strange problem with autofire happen in 2 ways where the autofire button stop working. 1 ) Starting Raine randomly autofire not are possible work in an game where in previous started Raine was saved autofire. That happen in several previous version. In moment I not see happening in 0.93.X. 2 ) Start Raine and save autofire settings for an game. Close and restart Raine. Now access Input menu and see if the autofire was saved from previous Raine session. See image 1. If yes now try access the sub menu "Autofire controls" and return to submenu autofire. Now autofire not work and not is possible configure the settings. See image 2 in next reply When that happen need force and Raine close using task manager or ALT+F4 because using closing normally Raine in next time the autofire config is broken needing delete raine config file.
  12. Using keyboard and enabling autofire only work for 1 second. After 1 second even pressing the key not input will be done. I not have information since what version that problem is happening. Also I not understand if is an WINE problem. If pressing an key button for charge attack work. Tested with previous version using PS3 controller autofire works without problems. In moment not tested with current version.
  13. Using solid and big, big dictionary and multithread only 2 threads optimize the compression. Thanks very much for your work

    Raine 0.93.1 !

    "Yeah I noticed that, it's specific to wine & sdl2-2.0.20, don't know why exactly I didn't investigate, but since it works fine in a real windows, I didn't bother." You are correct. Here is installed sdl 2.0.18. See the link below https://github.com/madewokherd/wine-mono/releases The details is about issues in window and sdl was downgraded from 2.0.18 to 2.0.16. In any way I will continue to use the previous raine dlls. Have a nice day.

    Raine 0.93.1 !

    Hello Tux all right ? Thanks very much for your work in Raine. Using Lubuntu 20.04.3 WINE 7.2 to run Raine. Tested with both 32 and 64 current 0.93.1 using the update dlls Raine not start. When is opened the Raine window not is displayed the menu and the user need close Raine because not happen crash. If using the previous DLL 32 and 64 bits Raine 0.93.1 start and run correctly without any issues. In moment not tested using game controller. The "issue" is the SDL.dll. Have any problem using current 0.93.1 using the previous SDL.dll ?

    @Tux Thanks very much for your work. Have a issue happening with controllers in 0.92 64. Using PS3 controller. Starting Raine using default inputs both digital pad and analog pad are used in gameplay. The problem is holding digital pad in any direction (up-down-left-right) in less of one second is automatically unholded even continuing holding in same direction.

Isn't it better to turn this feature off and let the user decide the best mappings for every game or driver?" In fighting games is good having both d-pad and analog ... charge move use analog and other move use d-pad. @Tux The screenshot https://ibb.co/rwftnG4 I had posted about a random issue that autofire config not is loaded and happen graphics errors in the menu to config similar how the screeshot above. I will use 64 bits version to see if the issue happen again. Tested in Lubuntu 20.04.3 using WINE. THANKS !!!!!!!! Raine is fast to startup and load any game. Not more issues when accessing the menu options in gameplay. I not understand if was because the new OpenGL option. Using OpenGL is much more fast and video output have better quality than Raine previous version. I had tested 2 times with a PS3 controller and both d-pad and analog had worked. In third time in same game the analog pad was correct, but the d-pad had changed the positions. left not move, down-up-right was inverted. I not had changed buttons or d-pad ... need use other time because WINE have issues. You want to return the background Bubble Bobble background in Raine ? Selecting background images to choice in Raine background that you like have a good look. Is good see any images from Taito remembering the Raine first versions 😃

Anti aliasing not is possible for MAME video output , but enabling anti aliasing the colors look better. Trying with a Geforce 600 not has the same result. "And I noticed the display of commands from the command.dat is broken, it's been broken for a few versions actually but nobody noticed" Using Raine 32 current version the menu works.   22. @Tux I known your emulator since the begin of 2000's when the screen had the Bubble Bobble. Speaking about old version I remember using your emulator loading Kuri Kinto. I not remember what PCB version if was USA, Japan or world set being that both sets run using japanese language in MAME. I remember using your emulator changing dip switches and not remember exactly if had enabled any game code ... Kuri Kinto had used english language in gameplay. I remember when the bosses messages being in english. After was released Raine new versions and doing the same actions not was possible run the game with english language. That game not have dip switches to change language region in MAME. Only sharing the information above. I use for a long time thus I use for some games MAME and for others your emulator. I had posted in Retroarch about your emulator being accurate and will be good see a Raine libretro port for users wanting use Neo Geo and other machines in Retroarch. Very good see Raine running over WINE. About all above in your topic I not understand if is possible add cubeb in your SDL sound code. Not demanding, but cubeq sounds very good.
  23. Thanks very much for explained because Raine32 is the main release. Now using Raine 32 bits thus not will be possible figure the issue if only happen in 64 bits version.

  25. Thanks for your reply. Closing the emulator using emulator menu quit and not closing window or ALT+F4. That bug is random. I post here a screenshot if happen again the issue.
