  1. o_0 Interesting info. Reminds of the japanese version of Vendetta or Magical Cat Adventures, among others, where the japanese version had extra stuff not present on the other versions. Very nice screens. I think the best way could be adding the latest version of the driver (0.129u3). PS: BritneysPAIRS, nice to hear that.
  2. The game works fine, you just need to put 2 credits in then a hand appears next to mission select and then you press start. If you put 1 credit in and press start it will freeze until you put a second credit in, try it now and see for yourself. Just need to put 2 credits in. Ah thx for the hint. Added to the topic with that info too. It still has graphical problems, specially when you carry a weapon, but seems playable for now. Thx.
  3. Added Vamp x 1/2 and Cabal to the topic. Big Fight still doesn't work for now it seems. After you insert a coin and push 1p button, the game freezes, just confirmed that and it seems it's a known bug for now. "Bugs: - Upon inserting a coin and selecting 'mission mode' the game freezes. Jameson (ID 02578) " Weird.
  4. I suppose you're asking for games actually playable at the moment. Will tell you later some, but looking for the drivers thing before, i remember that i was surprised not to see there games like the amazing and classic Pinball Action or Nekketsu Koukou Dodgeball-bu (Super Dodge Ball), and instead having the dreadfull Judge Dread or too many neo geo games that fill a lot of space on the HD or DVD for example. It's all a matter of personal taste, and i guess that's the reason for the question. Will tell you more games later.
  5. I always used the bootleg version for that reason. Makes the game more enjoyable and it was the version i played at the arcades too at the time.
  6. Added those games to the topic. A spreadsheet later is a good idea, if anyone is up to the task. I started with some games sugestions and drivers, going now for fixs and ideas like some already mentioned by people here and other topics. PS: Welcome back.
  7. I took at shot at getting the midtunit games (MK*, NBAJAM) running in the the MAMEdOx 1.1 codebase (still .84 like CoinOPS) but didn't have any luck. I attempted to reintroduce the .72 dcs speed hack into the .84 driver but that resulted in lockups. Next, I built two versions of the MAME library, one for .72 and one for .84; each using the .84 MAMEoX Xbox specific code. I was able to the point where it loaded all the roms within the .72 core, but it would lock up after that. My guess is that something changed in the osd_* routines. Real life and lack of a debug Xbox got in the way of further progress. 0_0 Sad to hear that. Currently on my way to do a compilation based on these games and others to test on CoinOPS, just to see how a certain idea fits on 1 dvd, and also to see what's happening on certain games mentioned here, like US Championship VBall, WPH and others, running trough most of them. RL and PC not being so good have slowed progress here. +_+
  8. Weird, i remember playing it well before, not on CoinOps mind. I really love that game also, it was at the same arcade near home where was Thunder Hoop and others. EDIT: Deleted the Raiden games on the first post, since all those games had issues that i didn't like even if they were playable, like missing sound fx and waiting 9 minutes for some games to start.
  9. Nice to hear about the FBA version and i like the name. Regarding Sega games and the others, that's why i'm trying to put all the mame logs that tell in wich version of MAME PC were they fixed and made playable (between version 0.89 and 0.95) and i have no idea as usual of the work involved to porting the drivers and code to the Xbox and CoinOPS. Maybe those versions of FBA will help on that? The Raiden Fighters games were fixed later on MAME PC (0.93), so maybe that's the reason they didn't worked before on the xbox, or could be too much for the console to handle who knows. In the end, they are all sugestions, building an utopic library and idea where we can play most games on CoinOPS without the need to change between different emulators. I really need to check FBA after going through the rest of the mame drivers.
  10. Yeah, and Boogie Wings too, besides all the others. Added some Sega and Data East games, and more Raiden sequels to the topic, deleted some. Still a long way to go. In the end, we should have a nice list of stuff that are now playable on MAME PC and could be ported/fixed to CoinOPS depending of the work needed for every driver. I bet some are more simple or complicated than others.
  11. No problem. I was reading that on the history dat file of MAME, where the creators of Strider went to Mitchell and created the game. Interesting stuff. We are just giving ideas and examples of things that are fixed and available, but in the end it's not in our hands if it will be possible to make them playable on CoinOps, but let's hope so. Added some more games, and add to put only 1 screenshot now per game since i was at the limit of images per post Another thing i noticed is that many drivers had some major clean ups, where you only had a bootleg version of a game playable before with stolen sound and music from other games, and now the 'original' versions are finally playable. Not sure if it's worth the effort, but i could add that later at the end of the topic.
  12. Added Osman to the topic. Great looking game, i had no idea has i didn't reached those drivers yet, but the game looks really great at least. Thx for the hint regarding Bonks Adventure, maybe that helps implementing the fixed driver on CoinOPS. I still didn't played and investigated much the new versions of FBA, but after MAME/CoinOps, i will do that. CraZyP83, on the MAME logs and info, i noticed this: "Bugs: - [possible] Missing duck sound. MASH (ID 02859)" Maybe that's it? They didn't changed nothing on MAME PC since version 0.79.
  13. Thx, just trying to help a little. We can say that it's always possible, but i can't imagine the work to add the new drivers and fixs. EDIT: Just added Bonk's Adventure and other stuff to main topic, and deleted one puzzle game.
  14. Thx. When i finish to check the rest of the drivers i will post more examples here if any grabs my attention of course concerning games that weren't playable before. I decided to do make these with screenshots because it's easier to identify the games, and because i really love the look of them. mirsad, regarding the World Heroes series, that's weird. They are all SNK Neo-Geo MVS hardware, and run on the neo geo driver i think, but since they are 'always' changing stuff on that driver on MAME PC, maybe something broke on those games? Or maybe it's the xbox ram, but even that it's weird, since World Heroes Perfect should be a more demanding game.
  15. Thx. Hopefully those segass32.c fixs fixed that game also. Will add it to the topic.
  16. That would be cool. Since i came back only some weeks ago, i've no idea of what were in that spreadsheet and other stuff. There's lots of cool games that are now playable. The thing is that i don't know how much work will be adding or fixing the drivers. But at least we can give these sugestions, and it's always cool to see the pictures. I love these colours that are so typical of arcade games.
  17. Yeah, it's weird that i was testing those games today on MAME PC and they seem slow, at least from what i remember de original hardware and older versions of MAME too, both on PC and Xbox. And i still have to check those sound 'bugs' on some older sega system drivers, among others. But at least those games like Shinobi, Golden Axe 1 and so on, seem very playable.
  18. As the topic description says, this is an ongoing progress, since i'm going through all the drivers currently supported on MAME PC. I'm on 0.129, will download 0.130 later, that seems to have even more fixs as usual. For the moment i'm interested in fixs for some of the examples here, and adding new 2D games not currently supported on CoinOPS. I'm not particulary interested in 3D games on MAME, but feel free to sugest them and i will add them to the topic. The more people helping the better, so those fixs needed for other drivers and games like Midway, Namco and so on, let the developers know those problems too, and possible fixs. With luck, BritneysPAIRS has some material here to check when he returns. If this isn't the best way to do this, let me know. 19. Ok, i will try to help later in anyway i can, specially sugestions for drivers. Regarding the titles directory, personaly i don't use it the xbox builds of 'MAME', since we need every space we can for more games if we want to keep it at the size on 1 dvd for example. So i only use the screenshots regarding extras on CoinOPS.
  20. Ok, i will try to look later the supported game list on CoinOPS, and going through the compilation i did for MAMEoX 0.84b3 too, since it was a personal best off to fit one DVD, and through MAME 0.129 dats and infos to see what games could use some of the newer or older fixs, or new cool games, with a list of suggestions. Another older favourite of mine, that i was addicted at the time on a arcade near home, was Thunder Hoop from Gaelco (1992), that was introduced on MAME 0.84 on PC, but only reached playable status on later versions. Anyone remembers that game? Here's some screenshots:
  21. Sadly, most of them only work on MAME PC, so unless any of the current people working on the xbox scene wants to try it, i'm not sure. The persons that worked on MAMEoX at the time seemed to disappear a short while after that. PS: I'm only talking now about this stuff because i just 'came back' from RL. We apreciate the effort of course and i've no idea the work that is going through every driver, since most of them have their peculiar things. I'm thinking about going through the list of games supported and comparing them to the new MAME PC versions. I just downloaded it for that purpose, to see what's changed and what could get a fix or not. At the moment i'm only thinking about some games too, and not all, like the Sega and Namco drivers mentioned before, Avenging Spirit (of course ), Double Dragon 1 and so on. Sometimes, even if they aren't so popular, you can discover new gems and games that people would love to play going through this choices and ideas. It's all about personal tastes in the end. Some people like to have all the Metal Slugs in their compilation for example, others only want the one they like best to save space, etc.
  22. That's exactly what i'm getting at. If possible for them to update those and other drivers on CoinOPS, we could go trough the games supported, see what are the ones that play already and doesn't need improvements, and make a list of the ones like those that need some work and were fixed, or made playable in later versions of MAME PC. In the end, with some coordination and effort, we can have a list of games for every person to check and make their own costumised CoinOPS compilation depending on their tastes and favourites.
  23. My idea is that if it's possible to do a combination of those builds regarding drivers, to make all of them playable in good condition on CoinOPS instead of the need for us to use different emulators and builds for them.
