Hi nonosto.
Adding a new option like a time trial or any complex thing (like the long marathon) is not possible by simply hex-editing a .xbe file.
(I only replaced the rivals' names letters by empty spaces as the names clearly appeared in my "hex-edit" software, so what I did can't be considered as a hack).
Yes, I tried to apply the 720p hack some time ago but got no success... According to me, the Outrun 2 game(s) would suffer from a lot of slowdowns in 720p.
... (It makes me remember that I edited many widescreen hacks but never took the time to share...).
For Chihiro I won't be of any help (again) as possessing a 128mb XBox is still a dream for me... Sorry...
NB: No worries about your english. I'm french myself and can easily read my compatriots' english. Mine is far from perfect

The later missions were a pain for me too.

As it's impossible to find cheats or saves for the japanese version.
Here is the ultimate link including:
- Save files with all the bonuses unlocked for US/Euro and Japanese* versions.
- Two edited XBEs with the rivals'names removed (one for the Jap version, one for the Euro or US version),for an improved arcade feeling on Scud Race & Daytona 2 tracks & any other rival race.

OK , i thought the slowdowns could be due to a saturated ram, because I can't remember where but a guy said there was no more slowdowns on his 128Mb Xbox (not a 1.4GHz processor but a normal one).

Do you thinks vmm routines could be added to the psichyo driver, as IQ_132 is a specialist ? I'm thinking about games like Dragon Blaze (some big slowdowns), Strikers 1945 II & III (big slowdowns+sometimes can't reach the end of the game), I haven't placed them in my rom list because of those slowdowns & problems.
Maybe vmm routines are already in, and it's only the xbox that can't play them perfectly ?

Thanks a lot for asking me this Alpha, but my actual activities won't allow me to be involved/regular. I'm not using my XBox often anymore (...but if IQ & FBL...). I still come to this forum because I like it a lot. I had a great time here a few years back with Fumanchu, Hellsfury & BritneysPairs (yes, he can be a very nice guy) & a lot of other members.
So I was just suggesting as asked in the title of the thread. Sorry Alpha.
I'm sure somebody else will like do it !

Config files could be a good idea too, with different possibilities: 720p users, 480p & 480i/Pal users, 16:9, 4:3 users... as we all spent a lot of time trying to get the best results in emulation depending on games & our TV (I think about pcsxbox, surreal64, winuaex: difficult for the newcomers).
Edit I mean solid & validated files, not 500 non trustable files per game like we could find on XPort's site in the past.

Me too PGM games, if they load at all, will throw the "FBL has encountered... Press A" error upon exit, which gets stuck until I reset my Xbox and delete the FBL.ini file.
This has happened to me when I've tried to launch kov2 in 720p, no problem (for me) in 480p.

Some small remarks:
I can't launch Asura Blade & Buster anymore.
I still have a few sounds problems: Sega games launch with a continuous "Beeep" sound (Power Drift, Racing Hero).
Are the two new adds (deroon & tkdensho) supposed to play with sound as well ? They don't on my side.
Can there still be a problem with other.xbe ?

I won't debate about emulation with you as you know exactly what you're talking about.
What can be appreciated in coinops is BP's vision for filing the games and configurating everything for the newcomers or lazy guys. Some can appreciate to have everything under the same frontend, some won't ! I only thank any guy who gives his time for the community, whatever the project is.
But it's not the point. I personnaly use madmab emus for consoles, Coinops Reignite r5 for General arcade, FBAxxx128 for CPS2,CPS1, NeoGeo (don't want to DL a new set) and FBLegends for the rest like Cave, Sega (pdrift, rachero...), Psikyo, PGM: in fact the latest added games and all the "OTHER" set from FBAxxx129.
I won't debate about emulation !
What I have written, only to react against your unnecessary remarks, is: every emulator is playing illegal stuff, if BP was your mate you wouldn't react against rips (that you certainly never used) and his Coinops' full set.You don't like Coinops, ignore it instead of alerting Robert.
I repeat what I've said in my posts as it seems difficult to be understood:

Some guys will also distribute full versions of FBLegends and nobody will cry about it.
I personnally don't know any xbox user owning all the original arcade games or Megadrive/Genesis games included in FBL at home and dumping roms themselves. There's only a little difference between talking about downloading a rom and talking about downloading a rip (the ripped games aren't sold new anymore). I haven't seen any post talking about the price of new games here, but a lot of posts talking about modded consoles, rips, emulators and (oh shit) there's a pinned article about how to burn a Xbox ISO...
I really fed up with this war against CoinOps or against Extra Team (cool guys by the way) or against yourself, and haven't posted here for a long time because of this single reason.
Cool to hear that CoinOps3 is here !!! As I'll certainly love FBLegends1.8...
A new emulator or frontend or skin is coming ? It's a great new for our community.

Cool video and thanks for this thread. I've never played doom before because this kind of games has never seemed funny to me.
I've just given it a try in 720p and... I think I'll go through all the solo levels with pleasure.

Sorry I don't have any 720p mod on my side.
Why wouldn't you try the game on XBox 360 ? The euro version runs in 720p on a euro console, with the loss of a few frames per second from time to time.
