  1. Out of this world news that BP. Yes i do understand XBMC skin engine. So thats what youve decided for this emulator then. I must admit i was dissapointed when it was voted against those months back. Opens up doors for animations too, transition effects oh yes. PS. Did you have to pay for those videos for CoinOps ?
  2. Only if you tell me how great i am at least once a day. Then you will qualify (based on age) for a blow up doll or a wiggly thing to put on top of a pencil. Mugs n T-shirts to be arranged. Doing a deal for some of Kenshiro's old stock.
  3. Only 3 themes this time on 3 seperate configs. I have left the other configs elements in the skin so users can mod there own stuff and use existing backgrounds and fonts n bits. No Sonic Pics, No Sonic tunes, No F****** Grey boxes. No useless Banners, No only just, slightly varied, configs. No useless time/memory consuming annimations. NO HD configs, No WideScreen configs, No dead wood. Just SD, fast, colourfull and basic. Does what it says on the tin. Fully compatible with ResXtras. (recommended)
  4. That to me is a good step forward already, it will open up opportunities for others to feel like they can contribute.
  5. I understand the current CoinOps config is a "add and replace, see what happens type skin", thats fine if your happy with the way it is now. Thats where i gave up as i felt no freedom and wasnt happy with copy n paste to the current framework. Coding, yes your right well kind of, believe it or not i do understand it and can write (not copy and paste) a little, the code has been out a while you know, but i dont know enough to build a full emulator. What i mean is i think there needs to be a new direction to avoid stagnation. PS. I dont use the expensive Photo Shop, i use basic Paint Shop. As far as my skills go your right again, very limited however, i have produced varied, coloufull inteactive skins for different emulators across the board. Ive seen your artistic work, lol no offense, but if i chop off the end of my little finger then i can post you some of my artistic talent, that would then double your existing repertoire, would that help you ?
  6. Its the calm before the storm thats all. Perhaps the NES6502 release will replace yours as top dog here !!! As i see it there are 3 options. 1. Run away and sulk in a private forum. 2. Take the other emulator on head to head for popularity. 3. Continue deveoping for the fan base that exists, avoid a head to head by giving users the opportunity help develop this emulator further. Not in a "feature suggestion" slagging match but by showing users what you want and how they can create it. You have the talent, you just need to learn to be a teacher.
  7. Polishing the last few bits now Neil222 to that SD version. Another 24 hrs of testing and then you can have it to play with. 22 - 24 mb of memory left under full load
  8. Probably not long now Ice_Man, it'll be like your bithday everyday. I think the skin scenario is gonna be a right user mutiple choice. There will be "loads" to choose from at release time. In fact it's gotta be the only emulator that has a following and design interest before its even released.
  9. Actually haven't done much for a few days, but its close anyway. Will concentrate on it tonight. You will be the first to know Mr. Neil222 seeing as though your such a nice chap.
  10. Well i have seen exactly what your looking for at a site im a member of, in truth 4 or 5 skins all by different authors. Im not so keen on the cartoon style but these lads have made a real cracking job of it. Not to speak out of turn but i think they were to be built for Kenshiro's next build which never happened. So as far as alternate mods go i think its well covered already. Obviously they will have to maybe be altered slightly to suit your GUI.
  11. Thanks for the report, im sure lots of users appreciate it. As far as movies go i personally cant help you with FBA stuff. I will once the emulator is released as the timing will coincide with me finishing the NeoGenesis videos im working on. Great news on the HD speeds with no lock-ups. Looking forward to it.

    Emulator Videos

You really need the ResXtras. These are video and screenshot packs for various emulators. His thread is over at xbox scene forums. Software, Emulators, Resxtras and compatability lists. There are various packs for various emulators. Im making NeoGenesis video previews myself but at a much higher quality. My packs are currently being sorted alphabeticaly for downloading purposes. They "may" be replacing some videos in the ResXtras NeoGenesis pack soon. CoinOps has only just implimented this feature (with bad aspect ratios in HD at least) where as the ResXtras for all other emulators has been around for quite a while. Check it out and make up your own mind.
  13. Sounds about right ! Each emulator needs to in its own folder within the emulators/games directory to achieve what your after.
  14. any progress report this week NES6502
  15. I like the Fire and the Chrome effect together. @BP. Did you notice though the uneven dark shadowing/reflection effect on the "Legends". It seems off center, more effect on the letters to the left than to the right. As if the focus of light is set off center and to the right a little.
  16. Building it now, a couple of days.
  17. Here is the WIP 2 of my NeoGenesis Dynamic Skin. Only for HD and Widescreen users at the minute. Features 4 different themes. New fonts, new sprites, improved graphics compression. After loading all artwork and using HQ video previews, this tuned skin, will leave the emulator 18 - 20 mb of free memory. Delete previous installs to avoid conflicts. 18. First Console = AceTronic First Computer = TI99/4A Best Console Memories = MegaDrive Best Computer Memories = Acorn Electron
  19. I read recently that you intended to code your "FBA" from scratch using the newer PC code. The best way, but you didnt need me to tell you that ! lol. What im asking is, do you have a resident site where you report progress, updates and changes ? I know there's a lot of buzz around this new project from people end user side. On a site where im a member we have daily discussions about the possibillities. Theres a real positive charge about the place and although "i haven't" been voted as a mouth piece, i've took it upon my self today to see if i could request an update (bi-weekly / weekly) as things develop. I understand if your are reluctant to be drawn to public forums for comment after the latest round of "hair pulling". Im sure your more than aware that people have a great interest in this project. If you decide not to comment on the subject then, no harm done. Here's hoping.
  20. Ha, yes. I just started going through my roms the other day doing exactly that. Figured i was doing the right thing. Thanks.
  21. @Gilou Just tried those settings with the xport stuff, excellent. Very nice n crisp. Well done. Any more tips ?
  22. Yes. Getting the video previews is easy. Pop over to xbox-scene forums. Xbox\Emulators\ResXtras and Compatibility etc. ResX and others have a full pack of Genesis/Megadrive 32x and SegaCD/MegaCD videos in wmv format. They need converting to a native xmv format for the xbox. The tools for this are quick and simple but they must be found by you doing some research on the forum stated above. I am currently re-working the videos to a much higher quality and @640x480. I have done approx 200 at the minute, links for the HQ videos can also be found in the same thread. Good luck, be patient and do some reading for yourself. To find the HQ videos is best to back about 8 - 10 pages from the end, i think ive uploaded 4 or 5 packs so far with approx 35 -45 videos in each.
  23. Just experimenting with wall view for background, too much ? What do you think ?
