just adapt to dat shiz!
I've seen a few beastly Vega's---
His dodge is nearly invincible wen used right.
If i liked him enough i would take him and get beastly with him to prove a point but ehhhh..... aww that claw and mask bs is annoying.
For sure Shoma! Never was a big Vega fan...always seemed a bit homo to me.

So in other words spamming rolls and sliding down and holding back till u get close would be considered....cheap?
You can pretty much beat anyone with Blanka...in a cheap way.

Does anyone know of any GC alternative controllers that have a nicer D-Pad, maybe nicer button placement? The standard one doesn't work well with games like MMX Collection. Or in general for that matter.
I know about the HORI one but its too rare/expensive.
I haven't been able to find ANYTHING. Perhaps my resources are limited but I really dislike the controllers for the GC.

IS assited suicide someone signing papers saying "Im ready to die" and then having the government or whoever perform some injection that casues a quick death?
No it's between patient and doctor. Either by euthanasia, starvation or dehydration.
-
I think the only state that kind of allows assisted suicide is Oregon with it's Death With Dignity Act or something.
Oregon and Washington (each has different rules).

Ohhhhh, so thats whats wrong with you!!! flock your view on handholding. Sure, let people make their own damn decisions... but i'll be damned if I don't tell someone my views, as you do.
Stating and interferring are two different things.
You can go around state your opinion about anything in this world all you want but when you mentally or physically interfere with people's lives is a whole different story.
I don't think anyone understood what I previously wrote.
Not even once did my entries on the subject interfere with any lives. If you interpreted it that way, I'm sorry. People are going to go by their own personal experiences and take that at face value. You're one of those people who smoke for pleasure and don't see anything wrong with it because it doesn't affect you as I described. But not everyone is you. And what I had written is pure truth from scientific research and not just from my personal opinion.

The few real life friends I have introduced me to emulation.
-
Friends? What friends, I have a few acquaintances, but no real "friends".
I'm rather fussy about "friends". I prefer my home to be MY home, nobody hangs out here, it's for me and mine. I'm a home body.
Occasionally talk with "acquaintances" and go out for coffee and the likes, but otherwise nah.
I don't want to sound high on myself here, but it will........
I CANNOT make friends with people who aren't at least near my intelligence level, or can at least hold an intelligent conversation. Too many people I've met hurt my brain listening to them talk about crap that has no real bearing on life, and is often immature.
The few people I'd actually consider "friends" that I talk to and have hung out with more, are 15-20 years older than I am. One of which is the father of a friend from when I was in school, I hang out with his dad.......but not him.
I often avoid people that want to be my friend for several reasons.
I can spot the "I'm in it to get something" friend who likes you because you can do things for them.
Friends that are too needy, and ALWAYS want to hang out.
More reasons than I care to continue on.
Yeah, I'm not friendly.
We will get along really well.

I love it.
Want to give more detail as to why?
I'm kind of in the middle. I believe people should do what they consider is best for themselves but I also take into consideration that a lot of people aren't in a right state of mind when they are dying. Depending on the cause, some would be dealing with pain at extreme levels and just want to get it over with but still have a chance of being cured or at least given alternatives to dealing with it.
Well I don't love it.
This is an incredibly touchy subject in the medical world.
I pretty much feel the same way you do on this issue. If someone is very sick and in great pain they should be able to do what they want to feel better, even if it means ending their life. Patients can refuse any kind of treatment and just ask for pain killers that make the pain go away when they die but they can't ask a doctor to give them something that will kill them faster. Should doctors be able to do that? I don't think they should. I think they should make the remaining life as painless as possible and that's done through services like hospice.
It's all very complex and my brain is too scattered right now to talk in any length about anything serious.
Yeah like I said, it's a bit hard for me to be standing firm with yes or no. My mother worked in hospice...I've heard such sad stories of how these people just waiting to die were the sweetest, funniest and cheerful people she had ever met. I remember going to her job when I was younger and there was this old man who was basically ignored by his family. He was a marine biologist who wrote childrens books. I grew really fond of him and he died holding my hand. Through all the pain he was going through and the neglect from his family, that man still had a reason to live his life to the fullest. He was brave. I guess that's why I'm so indecisive about the whole thing.

Sorry I didn't put it in the lounge. I didn't know if the certain topics I mention in that thread would cause offense or arguments with everyone else. Maybe I should ask first next time.
-
Why isn't this in lounge? It's an awesome topic.
I'm all for it, it's the persons life, you can't be a Hero to someone who doesn't even want to save their self. Now in situations (like your brain dieing), I say everyone leave instructions somewhere on what to do in case it happens (like a will).
True. I find it responsible to give thorough instructions in case something like that would occur. I wouldn't want to place a loved one under such a horrible terrifying decision.

It looks tasty! I dearly hope it's better than XII. From what I've seen, it's pretty badass.

I was up all night last night and the night before. I spent the night at my friends place and I could not manage to get any sleep.
I sowwy to hear about that. I've had some serious issues with sleep the past few months. Been too edgy with all the stress hovering about me. I just hang out on the PC doing online class assignments and playing games until the wee hours of the morning and take a little nap before my kid wakes up.

hahahah nooo...I'm nowhere near a vegan. I love meat. I'm not able to drink whole cow milk (even though I do it anyway). Had an organ of mine removed and was advised not to drink that stuff. It's too good but for a while, I had soy milk which isn't tooooo bad but..not preferable.
Phew, so you just have a lactose intolerance, that's ok.
Them vegans are crazy though. Vegetarians I can tolerate, but vegans are whack-jobs with no higher reasoning skills.
OH I agree! I worked with some chicks who decided to make a pact and become vegans. Then suddenly, they were all high and mighty and didn't really lose weight. One went to the hospital! Then they decided to join PETA. Two were fired from their job for passing out flyers and causing protests at the workplace. After that, they went to the local paper. They're ridiculous.

my sisters mother in law is 90. she can hardly walk, she can't do her own grocery shopping, she can't clean her own house. the only time she leaves the house it to go to the hospital. thats not living.
yeah if you are still happy with life like that then by all means fight for life, but if you've had enough of life at that point who is the state to stop you from moving on?
just as people say "it's my body" for the whole drinking, smoking, drugs debate" I think that should extend to their life as well.
True. I don't know. I guess it's just a vicious emotional and moral cycle for me to actually take a stand either way.

I've always wondered what mashed potatoes would be like if I used chocolate milk........
I've actually used Silk chocolate soy milk for it. It was so grotesque!!!!! A bit odd considering I like fries in chocolate ice cream...
Let's talk about something Controversial.

Alright. So pretty much all of us have the same view on that subject.
What about the "War on terrorism"?
