If anyonen is actually pursuing the reformation of the p1/p2 here is a tad more information from NeoGhost on another forum. "Ok guys, i really dont have the time to do this (I REALLY WISH I DID) i did some quick scanning of the P1 and P2 roms and FOR SURE!!! ABSOLUTELY SURE>..........you need to bring up some of the p2 to the beginning of the p1. i know its not a lot of help, also this portion im talkin about has to do with the portion that is dumped 2 times on the p2. because the instance i searched for showed up 2 times and it was identical. search this string on the p2 : 454E2D4F4547104F and youll see what im talkin about. now open up any other p1 from another game (kof2k2, svc, whatever you want) look for a similar string........this will be in the beginning of the p1 rom. Also: what does 0x29e bytes translate to in binary? cuz thats the size of chunk i think needs to be split to."

If you're using the boss bios make sure you're in console mode, like european v2. Kusanagi, Adel, Mukai, Chizuru, Maki, and a random select box should be under K's team. If that doesn't work re-dl it here or here. "I had to dump it with winhex, RAM Cheat sucked so bad, worthless. Game Trainer can't make dumps in 2k3. I got a big freaking dump of allmost 160Megs lol. I don't use upx and my exe is defently not that big. I found some wierd stuff in there, ie p1 lol. That's wierd because that rom load does'nt load that p1.(Does it?) I found it in there too. Though apperently mame is intersected inbetween the rom banks, yikes. I saw my cheat dat in the rom area, stuff like that. It's all there though, probably decrypted. some of the info on how the mame driver should be written is wrong hmm.... should someone notify him? i dont know squat about mame drivers

yeah, sorry, i should have specified. it's just him testing a theory about the p1, and he needs people to help him test his theory. if his theory works, it should play in kawaks. so yeah, if you know hex, and want to help, visit the link.

well if it doesn't show up on the game list anymore, that solution is also in this thread. if it simply does not run even though you select it, then i do not know.

did you try repatching? just a thought.

select to show all, find kof2k3 (its under the) and add it to a custom folder. then remove all the other folders so custom is the first one it automatically selects. it'll show up. or you can just make a.bat, which is easier and more practical. open up notepad, type "mame32p kof2003" (without the quotes) in it, save it as kof2003.bat and stick it in the mame folder. that way you can play kof by just opening the.bat file.
