  1. Sorry to burst your bubble but that ISN'T the perfect PC to play it. Go to www.hardocp.com and read. I thought that was sarcasm...
  2. Yumeji is a chick (something about women in red with swords just owns). Thanks for the info, now I really hope they figging translate it for the American release. if not, i'll just read a faq. And her past isn't that hard, all I know is her father, who is Ukyo's mentor, kicked her out of the home for something, and Ukyo is sent to find her by her mother. Well, the hard part is the questions like 1) What's the relationship between her and Ukyo? 2) What's the relationship between her and Gaoh? Her statements show some hints that their relationship is not limited to Lord-Vassal relationship, but rather a more.... personal one, so to speak. 3) Is she really female? This question is brought up because of her voice, masculine outlines (especially in Asian perspective), and her strict relationship that reveals no romantic relationships whatsoever. 4) Ukyo has said that Yumeji is "the one true Genius". Well, SNKP never bothered to say "why" 5) In the Japanese version endings in SSZ, she keeps throwing ambiguous phrases that can contradict with some "assumptions" with each interpretation. So much for thos Shinmuso Itoryu, sheesh. 6) Also, the iron rule of "ShimMuSou Itoryu" is that it can be taught to no other except flesh kins. And I haven't heard that they allowed females to participate in ShimMusou Itoryu. Seriously, at that time, swords were "men's tools". So, in order her to be a family, she had to be A: Ukyo's sister B: Ukyo's wife. Or she broke the rules with help of Ukyo who sees her as the only genius. More information, more controversy. And I love the controversy Especially the "male or female" is the most controversial along with the relationship between Ukyo/Gaoh. I seems that the majority of Korean/Americans view Yumeji as women, while Japanese and Chinese tend to see Yumeji as male. Her near nonexsistant breasts (heavily supressed with inner garments, some believe) substantiate that view as well. Well, we'll never find out because she always has lipstick on her lips...
  3. That's true, but I won't buy a copy until I get a new desktop that can play Doom 3 with all the bells and whistles
  4. 1. Sorry about being a bastard 2. Yes, they do read them as a CD because they're CD ISOs, specifically Bin/Cue formats this time. 3. Nothing is lost in nothing. 4. Computer works less in my opinion because I can play more with just batteries on my laptop. CD drive running like mad takes up a lot. 5. No, the files are not compressed. You can, though. 6. No, they make them into images - Virtual CDs so to speak. 7. Yes, you can burn them on a CD and play the game like "normal", and you can play "normal" without burning them as well, whatever your definition of "normal" is. Blindwrite Suite and Alcohol 120% are the frequently used application. Hope that answered your question, and welcome to the illicit world of sharing.
  5. Well, lets see. I run a HP ZD7000 with 3.02 Ghz Pentium 1GB ram GeForce FX5700 go 128RAM Dedicated However, due to ZD7000's crappy cooling and the "go" suffix with my FX, it gets choppy anything over 800x600 with all the options set to high. However, with some high-quality detail options off I can play at higher resolution. Somehow, no matter how low my options are, shadows take a LOT. Seriously, dynamic shadow each time my gun bursts? Not meant for "GO" series. With a good Desktop, I'm sure my specs will not have much problem as I do. I will need to do some tweaking cuz my driver is old and my comp needs to be cleaned out...
  6. ....wow, so much for deviation. Anyway, just to add a note for Yumeji, I think her DM was shown once in Rasetsumaru's ending. (in the jap version of course)
  7. Aye, Yumeji's mysteriousness and her or his nebulous past, and the austere aura of the character makes obsession worth it. I'd be a mad maniac if they did better dot jobs. Well, here's much I found out. Yumeji has her(ok, since I "think" she's female I'll say "she") own story in SSZ PS2 version. Surprisingly, they did a very detailed and meticulous job on her storyline and her ending. It shows the deep relationship between Gaoh and Yumeji, that even transcends death. I've heard that it is not clear whether the relationship is a loyal bond between a Lord and his vassal(retainer, or whichever you can translate into) or something more than that. Yumeji's new DM (she didn't have one in SSZ) is called [shinmusou Itoryu Ogi Mikanagi] I know "nagi" means to "slash, cut", but not sure what "mika" is. I don't speak Japanese so sue me Anyways, the DM looks same with Bust Ukyo's DM: [MusouzanKoka] in SS4, which is also the Zetsumei Ogi of Ukyo in SSZ:Special. However, reviews say that it looks much more cleaner than its SS4 or Zetsumei Ogi counterparts, and looks like the dot job is redone. Also, there are different colors with different buttons. A: Same with original. B: Pink (D button Ukyo??) C: Black, which everyone says really cool cuz of Yumeji's hair color... D: A bit darker skin with Purple clothing that resembles that of SS4's bust Nako. Another neat touch is that with different outfit colors, different lipstick colors. Well, hope that helped, and info like this should be in public even if you are the only person who is really interested in it, I think
  8. From the download preview shot it's SSZ, not the special. The rage effects in fire are from SSZ, and in SSZS it's back to the older style of flames. Besides, in only says "Samurai Tamashii Rei(zero)". No special yet
  9. That forum is pretty fan-boyish. I'd stick to fierceslash.com or shoryuken.com for competitive gameplay discussion. Oh is that what he was talking about? I thought he was wathcing porn or something, I was like man, this guy is tripping. LMAO, man, reading it now makes me agree... hahaha
  10. Man, this game's amazing. I've been saying holy crap to myself for about 20 times now...
  11. I was just surfing and visiting my good ol' favorites list until I found Doom 3 in middle of being uploaded.... Jesus, these release groups...never lets a person rest downloading-_-
  12. Sounds like there are no 1emulation codes that rule whether disputes in IRC channel should link with the forums or not?
  13. No, I'm not saying anything about the forums themselves, in fact its a great forum compared to most others. But a good forum is like, plagued. However, when there's a light there's a shadow- I just can't get used to all the whining in that forum ...Seriously, I haven't seen a forum with worse whiners than battle.net forums...sheesh. I just went in there, read a thread, and pressed the back button with sweat on palms, thumping heart, furious blushing and some sneezing. Sheesh, I guess that means: more people active = more whiners active. What can we do
  14. Me too. This got me thinking: What are we going to wait for after SS5S? I mean seriously, just think about it.... You're right... oh man, what are we going to wait for.. Well, there's still team deviance and more that will keep my sharing spirits high. I'm sure Doom 3 will be available in 2 days... Homeworld 2 was online a day before its release.... However, SSVS is not out yet, so I'm still waiting..waiting..and waiting.... for a dismally short moment I curse this agony of waiting...
  15. with SNKP's queer decisions like... 1) Distribution in Japan only 2) AES version scrooed up 3) Recall of AES version 4) Limited MVS quantity Things are different from SSZ... we'll just have to wait. I'm just glad someone went to all the trouble to dump this game. It would be a b*tch to even get the MVS cartridge outside of Japan.
  16. Please god save me from madness...not strats. I guess I was wrong when I thought strat discussions were always fun...
  17. I doubt the rom size of SSZ:Special requires uninstalling something... Anyways, with Ukyo use standing B and sitting A, sitting C to cut his sushi and others. Make sure you hear what he screams and know what/when to block Ipachi! (Nerd that grabs you from behind) Huyo! (The sweet-lookin chick that doesn't do anything sweet at all. She just trips you) Goshi! (The dwarf with huge arms. The most annoying if u ask me) Anyways, listen to them, if its either ipachi or huyo, do 6+D and grab or combo. With Ukyo, don't jump towards Sankuro...means certain death. Use standinc C - oborokatana combo as well.
  18. Sounds good, so until then this thread will go on as a relentless rant in our agony waiting for the rom?
  19. A person I know who lives in Japan found it all right, although the ripped-off illustrations from the orginal game as background picture for the loading seems careless IMO. It's a nice factor how Yumeji and Sankuro are playable, with their own storylines, and a new DM for Yumeji as well. Yumeji's DM is the one of Ukyo's bust DM in SS4, or his Zetsumei Ogi in SSZS. They say they must have done a new dot job on it because the sprites looked nice and clean. However, some bugs still exist. Rasetsumaru's dash C still does zero damage, and most of the stuff are just same with the arcade version. The new colors for Yumeji and Sankuro are pretty neat, I heard.
  20. Good point, although we needed something to keep the thread alive while there are practically zero news about the rom I've heard at least 4 different rumors about it so far(which I didn't bother to post anywhere) which all proved to be not worth bothering... Man, this waiting game's killing us all
  21. Seriously, only thing that could counter a Nakoruru in decent hands was.. Haohmaru bust, hanzo slash, galford slash, Tam Tam bust. The 5 "God Characters" in SS4.... Gaira might even just enter 2146+Start button.
  22. Along with increased grab miss delay. With Ukyo's dismal defense rank, it's gonna hurt like, oouchwawa.
