  1. Oh sorry, I thought the posted info was the bios itself. But I'm still a little iffy on that area. Like, I know its not much but some sites I've been too are really strict about this sort of thing. Just got a little mixed up.

  2. Don't handhelds sell like a crap load...like more than actual consoles?

The Pokemon's and Zelda's tend to sell craploads. You just have to see the user base for the GBA to understand why some really out perform the consoles. The GBA is the most successful gaming device in history. I'm a little rusty on my statistics but I believe the GBA/SP has sold more than a 130 million units worldwide in systems.

  3. I doubt GBA quality games are considered lunacy. Handheld games are supposed to be a bit watered down because it would directly compete with console games as competition. Not only that, matching the development time to make Grade A games would cost of fortune, that's why developers don't put as much finances in making the games. I do agree with you on one point, the mediocre games outweight the good games on the GBA by far, but as a consumer, don't buy them.

When I look at the PSP, the DS can't stack up to it. Besides battery life, the DS fails on all fronts. Somehow, I don't think Nintendo will lose to Sony. It happened many times in the past where much more powerful units were available, but the monochrome GB blew them all away.

It just comes down to the games, if developers can make money out of the PSP while spending fortunes developing the games, then things will get interesting.

  4. I really thought of making a similar thread when me and my friend basked Boll's lack of "talent" over in ICQ.

Seriously, FarCry? Alone in the Dark? (Tara Reid can't act, why doesn't she understand that) Hunter: The Reckoning? WTF is Boll thinking?

Furthermore, Ben Kingsley in BloodRayne? Where does Boll get his cast anyway?

He picks names out of a hat. Unfortunately the hat consists of Razzie award winners. :)

  5. hehe....its interesting how some people have mentioned that ds sucks for the lack of games that are on right now...not innovative n stuff, and say that psp will be better, but once the price is mentioned, 90 % of the people have said screw it.

Not saying in this board, but in other such places.  It comes to show u that people should realize that sony does not back down on price.  Never has.  Because they know that it will still sell.

Your probably right. Look at the PS2, $449 CAD when it was first released. But you might be wrong, who is willing to pay that kind of cash for a HANDHELD.

  6. yes Neomaster, im interested in anything that use it ,

im thinking ff:CC will be my first buy

does pokemon coloesm use the link?or is that the GBA player?

I would really recommend you consider getting ff:CC if you have more than one gba sp. You can play it using one gba but it's far more difficult and troublesome than just using the controller.

  7. I hate Japanese RPGs with a passion. I'm sorry but to me they just suck, I get bored of them in less than an hour. I don't even consider them role-playing games (I have a real D&D and such mindset so that'll explain everything) because you don't create the role that you play and there usually aren't multiple ways to approach a situation. They give you some faggot character with stupid hair and a stupid name with a gigantic head to walk around and talk to generic people (and almost never multiple conversation paths) and participate in repetative battles with the same slime goo over 100 times to level up. Not to mention I hate the universes they are set in. But my hate for Japanese RPGs (especially Final Fantasy...GOD I HATE FINAL FANTASY!!!!!) is not the issue here. I stopped playing them since the SNES days, if things have changed (which I doubt they have) then I'll reconsider. I'm sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. :(

Ok, here are the good American RPGs:

    - Akalabeth (predecessor to Ultima)

    - Ultima series (except Online and Ultima IX. I am shocked no one here mentioned them...you bunch of fags :P)

    - The Bard's Tale (the old ones...not the new one)

    - Wizardy (very underrated but good)

    - Elder Scroll series (someone only mentioned Morrowind...the other two are awesome too)

    - Wasteland (the predecessor to Fallout which is the greatest RPG EVER)

    - Might and Magic

    - Any of the Dungeons and Dragons games by SSI like Eye of the Beholder and Pool of Radiance

    - Baldur's Gate 1 and 2

    - Neverwinter Nights

    - Planescape: Torment

    - Temple of Elemental Evil

    - Arcanum (sooo long, I haven't beaten it)

    - Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2

    - Shadowrun

    - System Shock 1 and 2 (yes, they are more RPG than FPS so shove it)

    - Deus Ex 1 ONLY! Deus Ex: IW was a consolized piece of crap. (see above)

    - Freedom Force

    - Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (Redemption was crap)

    - and finally the best of the best...FALLOUT 1 and 2.

As you can see I play a lot of PC RPGs. It's my second favorite genre. To me RPGs are games where you create your character from scratch and then play the game in a style you like. American RPGs have that kind of gameplay style with character creation and stats with several conversation paths and multiple ways to achieve a goal.

And Fable isn't technically American, it's British but it's better to split RPGs into to categories, Eastern and Western.

Doesn't that feel good to get rid of all that negative energy? :D

    Japanese RPG's roxxers. <_<

  8. You said it, but if your like me and just want the play the simulation/business part of the game. You might want to "try" it. And once you get bored you can just introduce all the girls at the party to others girls in the game and make them have romantic discussions, it's really funny.

  9. I've been thinking of *ahem* "getting" Onimusha Tactics for GBA. Don't know if that's any good, but I'll try it anyway.

I wouldn't recommend it Agozer, the graphics aren't great, there is a lack of tactics in gameplay, and it really just an average game overall.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance > Onimusha Tactics

Tactics Orge Knight of the Lodis > Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

EDIT: Oh, "getting" you say. Well go nuts. :P:D

  10. I know this might be a little off topic but since we're talking about hack n' slash games I will like to say that I have found a really nice game. It's called Champions Return to Arms and it seems so fantastic. Incorporating a hugely enhanced Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 system, it features Diablo like adventure (tons of items and character classes and lvling) plus you can play online for FREE! Can't wait for it to be released...I'm just sad that I missed out on the first one, Champions of Norrath.

  11. its a prety decent sim type game nothing really naughty just the boobs is all.  lol its really fun to see how  many women u can talk into sleeping with u lol.

Your right solidius, it's not really that raunchy. Whenever people think of Playboy they think of nudity and other...things that might be censored. It's one of the more tasteful magazines in my opinion.

I was wondering if it will be alright if my girlfriend found out I was playing this thing...you guys think she'll mind?
