    So to those of you who have played it, what do you think? I'm still not used to it yet. I really didn't devote too much time into playing the game but I did practice with some characters. I'm not too fond of the LDM system. I don't like the idea that only one of the guys can do an SDM. And I wish it was possible to change the leader after each match. I don't like being stuck with the same guy.

     

    I like K''s new air fireball. I don't really like that Ash is a charge character, but I got over it. Terry's D-Power Dunk goes REALLY HIGH! I was amazed at how high it went. I like the way the levels are tall now.

     

    I don't really like the small selection portraits of the characters. It looks worse than all the previous KOFs. The actual portrait artwork is decent though.

     

    Overall, I'm satisfied with the game.

     

    If I think of something else, I'll add it.

    Shouldn't Playmore/SNK say to themselves "Hmmm, maybe it's time for a new arcade board."  Dump the damn NeoGeo MVS carts because they're too easy to pirate.  A new board would be cool.  Maybe they could have some transparencies going on have anti-aliasing included right away, some stuff that their current board lacks.  Or, they could have CD quality music right from the get go.

     

    They really need to dump their damn old easy to pirate NeoGeo and move on or the same things will keep happening!

     

    Besides, it's not like they're making any money off KOF2003 outside thier arcade department (which arcades are basically dead now a days) anyhow.

     

    Mistakes were made with the NeoGeo CD, but Playmore/SNK has the ability to learn from thier past mistakes and do better!

    Supposedly, KOF 2003 is the last MVS game, future games will be on Sammy's Atomisware. It's good for SNK, so they can stop losing money to bootleggers, but will also be the end of future Neo Geo emulation. :lol:

    But Atomisware will EVENTUALLY get emulated. It maybe a few years but they aren't invincible. They'll make their money off that system while people are trying to emulate it. And if history is a guide, hopefully they'll stick with Atomisware for 10 years like the MVS :P

    Now all the arcades near me are ghost towns with only a few die hard MvC2 fans floating around every now and then.  Nobody wants to play the same game for three years and nobody wants to get thier asses kicked by those losers who do nothing but spend their time and money in the arcades (Damn little asian kids :ph34r: )

    HA! It's the same exact way here. My college's arcade has 2 MvC2 arcades and these guys are damn good. flocking losers they are. I told one guy (actually a friend), "I prefer SNK games like King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown" and he called me a faggot. He then proceded to say that "SNK games look like ass and play like ass!" Then I told him that I would burn him a CD with my SNK fighting game ROMs and give it to him so he can play. Now he loves KOF. A story with a happy ending.

    Is anyone having this problem:

     

    When I right click on the ROM in MAME, and go to the AUDIT tab, it says one of the CRCs is bad. Then the game doesn't show up when I load MAME again.

     

    First it says: Status Working

    Then it says Status Failed (or something like that)

     

    It's not really a problem since all I have to do is unrar MAME again to fix it, but it still is an error.

    I am omniscient. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Just kidding. Ok, I realize that I went overboard in calling you a jackass. I should have just corrected your mistake in a more professional and friendly fashion.

     

    I am placing my hand out to you for a truce and good company, but I will say that this is not a surrender, just a diplomatic end to the beginning of a Cold Flame War.

    oval: This already got resolved when GC read it. If I was to be tempbanned for something this stupid, I would expect him to get tempbanned as well for starting it.

    I understand what you're saying. There was no need for being insulting. What I saying is that the max a President can serve is 8, because there is a two-term cap. 4 + 4 = 8. I thought you were saying 4 + 4 = 10 or some crap. But, I see where you're right. You really should have clarified that statement to begin with.

    You should have known your facts before you made that post. There was no need to clarify my statement, it's common knowledge (if you live in the US atleast). I'm worth my salt and I learned that presidents can serve for a max of 10 years.

     

    Let's end this bickering and say that I'm the jackass for flying off the handle in the beginning. Since jackass is such a strong and horrible word. :lol:

    It's an 8 year cap. Any politics junkie (Or even former politics junkie) worth his salt would have learned that at a very young age.

     

    As for me, I would not vote for any of them. I got burned out on politics after the 2002 elections, because of these dreams I had about Bush delivering a speech in a Nazi uniform.

    No it's not. It's ten years. Suppose the president gets assassinated or resigns and the vice president serves as president for 2 years, he can still run for president 2 more times.

    I know that emulation encompasses everything, I'm not a moron.

     

    I meant to say arcade. Consoles are easier to find, and less expensive while arcades are hard to come by and very damn expensive. I mean, I beat Golden Eye and Perfect Dark already on N64 emulator. 3 years ago. What's wrong with UltraHLE? Bleem! works just fine.

     

    But I did forget about PS2 and Dreamcast...but those won't be emulated for a while. I didn't mean to say it will die, I just meant to say that nothing of huge news or value will be done soon. That's what I'm saying. How soon do you expect a Dreamcast, PS2, GC, NAOMI, CPS3 emulator? Atleast 1.5 years. Between now and then, what else do you forsee happening?

    NeoGeo emulation will be practically dead. Or atleast on life support. No more big games are slated for MVS release. This forum will probably cool down because many people come here to check on the latest game being released. Till NAOMI and/or CPS3 is emulated, emulation is practically going to fade away. So sad :) But I won't abandon this forum.

     

    Now only if a damn arcade opened up with new games, everything will be fine and dandy. Actually I found out my school has an arcade so I went there and they have 2 machines for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Crisis Zone, among other not as steller games. So all is not lost but I don' think this school will pay for any other arcade machines. According to some people, a long time ago the arcade had Street Fighter III: Double Impact.

     

    Maybe I can try to jack one of the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 machines...heehehe B)
