    I like your post Belthasar. It makes a lot of sense. I have no pictures of my childhood or even from now. I'll try my best to stop being camera shy.

    Not just you, Gryph. I don't have plenty of my childhood taken because my family can't afford it. Taking photos can be expensive. It's a different issue with digital camera sinc eyou can just snap away without worrying whether how much it will cost you to develop it as you can keep it in your comp.

    Yea, I grew up without digital too... (born in 1978) Fortunately cameras are getting more affordable. If you don't wanna drop so much money.... Grab some disposables. But if you did have a digital...... you can take as many pics as you want. Because like I said, I take 9 bad ones for every 1 good one. here look, who wants to waste film on this

    It is something else if you do eat beef, for the first time, if you do, make sure you go to a steak house or something, but remember, you wouldn't like rare, get it well done.(tiny amount of pink) (at least at a good steakhouse) Then work your way up the rareness chart till you find your liking.

     

    Or if you want a burger, find a Fuddruckers or something. Perhaps Applebee's. No Burger King or Wendys nonsense.

    Wow....... thats beyond words. And no. they are NOT jocks, although they do look roostery. Who knows why.... And those girls are idiots, no jealousy here. Wow, I had to look just one more time before I submitted this, hold on hold on, gotta look again........ HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH BWA_HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA! UGH! I cant look anymore..............     My girlfriend has this awesome camera, and since I don't have many pictures, I go photo crazzy, I take like 9 for every 1 good pic.

    Take alot of pictures. just do it. I don't care if you don't like the way you look & your self conscious. I don't care if you ugly, or fat, or your missing half your face. One day, you'll look back and have all these wonderful memories, that you had long forgot. Just remember to get a life,( If you don't have one) go out with people and document it. I'm telling you, I have LIKE NO pictures of me growing up. And It's a damn shame. I look back on some of these pics, and I get happy. Who cares if someone thinks its silly, it's a record of your life.... here look, my girlfriend was being silly.

    Nooooo way. No lie, around 5 or so this afternoon, I had the idea to post a thread about some good eats to make yourself. Lastnight I was commenting on Game Cops thread, and he got me thinking. At the same time I had this thought, you posted this thread..... Wierd. It's confirmed.... we do think alike. I.E. Deus Ex fanboys.

     

    Ok what I wanted to post first wasn't elaborate. But I want to share with you Gryph, and everyone else, some awesome burgers.

     

    Ok, you need to pick this up in the spice isle.

    OK you'll be mixing this with salt, the ratio is 50/50, but adjust to your liking.

    This is the main thing for the burger. This is about it. Thats the secret ingredient. You mix it in with your ground beef. and you kinda use alot. I don't remember the ratio between season vs meat, I usually go by instinct. When the beef looks -->kinda<-- orange, it's enough. (your hands will be slightly stained as well, a SLIGHT tint....if its heavily tinted, you used too much) I'd pick up some great ground beef, nice and red, no dull color (fresher) and you favorite cheese ( I'd choose Provolone ) Potato bread buns, Bullseye BBQ (if you like it) I usually use mayo and Bullseye for my condiments on burgers, so use whatever. Onions whatever you want.....why am I telling you all this......

     

    But the secret to preparing any burger, is this. Have the patty kinda flat, not a ball when you place it on the cooking surface. you gotta constantly press on it now and then to make sure it doesn't pucker up. A good way to make sure this doesn't happen, is to make sure there is alot of beef in the patty to begin with. Also, once the patty starts to pucker alittle, and you kinda see some dark blood form at the top, flip it. Do NOT squish the hell out of it, just make sure it doesn't get too tall. And press the edges out just alittle to keep up with it. If you squish it too much, it will loose all the juices, and dry up. Another mistake is leaving it on too long. You gotta kinda have a feel for it, but remember, when you flip it the first time, you flip it about 3 more times, at equal intervals from the first flip.

     

    Ok too much detail, but Sason and salt make a GREAT seasoning. Put it on your french fries too right after you fry them up. Man, I'm telling you, it's great.

    Heh.... so was I. It's amazing... I'll spend hours on something to research it or find it... whatever the case may be, but I didn't type in sun sensitive gba game in google and get a find that takes less time than to type what I said in this tiny paragraph................................................ I think I've gone mad.

     

    Ok just to prove to my self that I'm not such a lazzy ass.... It is Boktai. And it took all of 3 seconds.

    It's just too bad. Arcades are dying more and more. like i stated earlier, even the best ones are having issues here in a massive city. No one seems to go as much. It totally depends on where you are. The cabinets are so damn expensive, And you have to pay rent, employees, and sometimes you just don't get enough people. If you don't make enough to pay for all the games in time, the next big thing comes out and you have alot of outdated games. Not everyone is like us, the ones who play the good old ones. Except for obvious titles that have superior versions. Like Marvel Superheroes.......... But I would play some Samurai Showdown 2 if there was some comp. But this rarely happens. The only reason Rockies survived, is location, and popular games. They had a good ratio going. Sure you get sad when a good one goes, but such is the price. Now I see commercials for highbrids. Here in Orlando, I see commercials for some place that is a restaurant, but with some games in it. But still, the people were playing DDR. Sooooooo what the hell is that? How long is that place gonna last? What demographic were they selling to, It was guys in they're 30's in Business casual dress. I never see that atop a DDR machine. People are loosing they're minds.

     

    Now the best arcade I know of is my Computer, too bad you guys can't visit, and show me a thing or two......

    I think the melted cheese thing is just you.

     

    But yea, Subway is too expensive. A tip? OK. If your really hungry, and like a footlong, get a six inch instead but with double meat. It only costs a dollar more and well... your doubling the meat. This does not include double cheese, that is 20 cents extra. (cost in my region) and well, just get so much, they can't close it and just pick it apart later. Or whatever. If you get more at Quizno's, go there, honestly, to hell with Subway. They cut my hours and thus, deserve to burn in hell. But reguardless.... my sandwich recommendations.

     

    1 Chicken Bacon Ranch

    2 Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki (the sweet onion sauce is sweet... so be mindful. I like to add Jalapeño to EVERY sub, but it goes great with this sweet sauce, the contrast is quite nice)

    3 Spicy Italian (Pepperoni & Salami) no ham like the BMT

     

    I think everything else is soso

     

    I'll tell you a place that was good. I don't even know if they exist anymore. It was called Flammer's. It was a food court place. Damn it was good. Actual flame grilled goodness.

     

    By the way... I hate ham.... only bacon, pork and ham suuuuuuuuk

    Look..... I currently work in the food industry. I'm working for Subway..... (not for too much longer) And I try my damnedest to make THE perfect sub every time. Trust me, I love to eat, and I'm an actual artist....... So it's ironic I'm a sandwich artist. But my subs, as great as they are, don't look as good as in the ads. But they are still awesome. But a few weeks ago I tried the Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Burger King.... You know, the one for a dollar. I bought a few, and sat down in front of the TV. Just as I was about to bite into it, the commercial for it popped up and it looked amazing!!!!!! Then I looked down to see this skinny 'lil patty, so un-inspired, sickly. It wasn't any good. What do you expect for a dollar. There is alot of places where I get lackluster food when I thought it looked amazing.

     

    These look good...... But what are you actually gonna get?????? Why don't you go get one, and take a pic of it. I can't do it for you because there are like 3 in Florida. Well maybe more but whatever. So yea..... go eat one. But you should go to the grocery and grab some meat, potato bread , various vegetables, Oh, and my famous sauce, Mayo+Bullseye BBQ...... Well I'm trying to make it famous. Break out the grill and get to cookin'. No excuses, If you suck, get to practicing. If you do it up right, you'll be in heaven. Don't make me come out there and make some food for you.

    PROVOLONE, thats my favorite. Then I like Mozzarella, I like it's physical properties and taste. Munster as well. Pepper-Jack, I loooooooove cheese too.

     

    Swiss goes great with the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki from Subway. But I think Subway cheese is watered down because they're cheap asses.

     

    There is one I hate. AMERICAN CHEESE! I HATE IT........ Use Cheddar on your Broccoli instead. And any cheese is better than it on a Grilled Cheese. It has a cousin, which is worse, that is Velveda. These two have a horrible consistency, it's like its made from edible soft plastic. I don't like the way they taste, especially Velveda. They are on all levels... inferior.

    Well I did unpack my ISO. It worked for previous games if I played with it for a bit. Since I have hardly played with them at all I didn't know the problems you get without a mounting tool. Or even which tool to grab. Choices Choices.

     

    I'm getting Daemon. I should have just done this before.

     

    Yea I guess I could just pick it up. I've been so poor lately, that I scrimp EVERY last cent. But 10 bucks is a damn fine price for this most Excellent game.

     

    By the way. I am sorry to all the people who wasted their time reading all of this. I wish I could just erase the thread..... Wait a minute ... can I?

    Create a fighting game

    Oh man, you just got the right guy for ideas...... Heh

     

    Lets start off with the basics. Keep in mind I don't really like divulging too much information, because I aspire to make games one day. Even though I'm likely going to end up an art lead. Also considering, I really don't think I'll make any fighting games. So then, on with it.

     

    For starters, I always thought that There should be multiple costumes. Sure you get a few in 3D games. And Tekken 5 had some items you can add, that was cool, but in 2D games, it was mainly just color variations. So obviously this applies to 2D, but Id like ... just plain more. Perhaps mix and match layers, along with color edits.

     

    Ok, another thing is the monotony of battlecries. Ok, remember StarOcean II, I heard "Tear into Pieces" like 500.000 times in one playthrough. OK, that isn't a fighting game, but how many times can RYU say HadoKen before his voice begins to go. Perhaps you can make this situational. Like if it is a clutch situation, make him SCREAM it out like a crazy man at the top of his lungs. Or if it is totally not necessary to throw a fireball, perhaps he can kinda grunt and sometimes just go "HA" or snicker. (sounds more like Ken) Or if he is getting trapped in a series of maneuvers from his opponent, when he does a move, his voice has a certain agitated or angry sound, or perhaps a "so predictable" attitude in his voice. You get the point, but the main thing I'm driving at, is there should be a pool of material, for any 1 given move or situation. So some kinda algorithm would be in place to randomize it.

     

    If it is going to be a 3D game, level design would be an issue for me. Virtual Fighter, and Dead or alive was a nice break in the mix. But Tekken got tiresome with the wall nonsense. In 2D games, having walls makes a certain strategy, like putting the pressure down, but it would be nice to have some kinda verity. I don't know if it would go well with such a game, but never ending levels, like pseudo 3D levels that pan around. I don't know. This aspect requires more thought.

     

    Customization..... Street Fighter had some great customization in the area of fighting type. All those Groves. I really haven't played much Samurai Showdown, so I never really got to understand the differences between Bust and whatever... Lets not forget The Last Blade series. Having the option to really mix up the strategy, would be amazing. Because some characters are naturally stronger against others. I.E. E Honda is a Shoto killer. And I have a problem in not loosing while playing as Brian Fury. O.K. it's other peoples problem. But I know Brian so well, or rather, I know everyone else so well. If there was more verity in styles, plus the style of the player, it would really mix things up. And I'm not talking about the Last Blade setup either. Either you were powerful and could cancel moves, or you were fast, and could chain them. I'm talking more along the lines of Street Fighter, where certain attributes were in place with any given Groove. Like air blocks were not there with whatever groove it was. used to be S in Alpha 3. But Id personally like to go beyond that, and make individualized styles for each character. Not making them sooo different, but enough to see that they.... kinda dumped there XP into certain moves or move sets. WOW ... THATS IT!! What if you started with a base character, but you can dump Xp into attributes and style. But separate them. Experience points & Style points. Like if you are totally kicking ass, like defeating the opponent quickly, or nailing some great combos, and also keeping them varied, no spamming, and reading your opponent well (some kinda tally multiplier) then you get an awesome bonus. Then of course you'd have to have a skill tree or something of the like. And obviously you would have to have certain things RIDICULOUS in price. And don't forget to keep things balanced. Of course you would have a rating system as to how powerful a character really or potentially is, Like in Armored Core. So then if you beat up a Nube, your XP/SP doesn't go up so much, and vise versa. Damn this would be quite tough to pull off. From Conception, to setting it up, (PROGRAMMING.... yea... good luck) Play testing the characters to make them balanced (Beta like crazzy) I don't even know how much time and effort that would take. Because I'm not talking about a few trees, I'm talking EPIC. But whatever, theres my idea on that.

     

    So yea... I'll leave it at that for now. This got pretty long. What do you think? I came up with some of it on the spot. Although the trees are not a new concept, (Blizzard) It just makes me smile. Like when I fired up Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the first time. RPG elements are the best.

     

    So yea, I'm totally teeming with ideas for games, that is why I think I can go far. If I'm reeeeeeealy lucky. ...................................................And not quite so lazy.
