I have a working cthd2003.zip that I'm send to thraxen right now, but I'm using 30.07.2004 xbe with modified.ini of course (check gogo's post)

I have KOF2003 working on gogo's FBAxxx release on 30.07.2004 (not current)

This is probably the best setup you can use as far as getting your PC connected to xbox (via FTP) and for XBC. I have 2 NICs, one ethernet 10/100 and one PCI slot--PCI slot NIC is is ran from the back of the comp with an RJ-45 CROSSOVER(!!!) cable, while the internet is ran through the ethernet, on a star Cat-5 patch cable (should've came with modem). Easiest way to get XBC going as no need for a router(I still have ANOTHER NIC hanging around). If you need anymore help with network setup, go to www.xbchelp.com...that also explains the setup I'm currently using (which I think in their terms it's Setup C). Hope that helps a little more.

and if you don't have a USB modem, NICs are your best friend

I believe the disable blocked 0 thing is just for fbaxxx to recognice the new sets (mslug5, samsho5, etc...)doesn't fix the problem of the neogeo games bsod'ing.

I probably have the easiest setup, which is one NIC and one ethernet port...xbox in NIC, dsl in Ethernet...I didn't even have to configure anything...just plug and play. Downside is I don't know if the xbox supports internet surfing (via linksboks)

I'm completely helpless. What file does the emu read so that I can edit the crc's and file names so that they'll load correctly? I don't know what to do beyond this point.

is there any chance he'll have an earilier.xbe to replace?

I'm not sure if I have the right CRC's for them, or romsize, but Hex isn't picking up ANY roms, and one time I accidentally pressed A in the neogeo window, and it froze up. Anyone knows what's wrong? Thanks for the help.

I've got StepmaniaX downloaded to my xbox, it'll load the screen where it's caching the songs, then it'll freeze up. I'm missing the Media sub dir, the author pointed to a download in the readme, but it doesn't have the media sub dir either. I also played it on the PC, then overwritten the songs, cache, and data folder, but to no avail. What am I doing wrong?

okie, found a solution. I just xiso another cdrw with my backup.ini that had my in use IP, burned, and it loaded fine with those settings. It's suprisingly not a hit or miss, when I opened my drive I discovered it was a Phillips drive, + I use Memorex cdrw and reads everytime...guess I got a good haXbox. Thanks to everyone here who helped out...I appreciate it.

ok, I've FINALLY gotten over that hurdle...I LITERALLY took the xbox apart, hooked up the hdd, and started trying to unlock it...when all I needed to do was rename the.xbe...OMG@_@. BUT, I got a new problem. I'm in the evox dashboard now, but the settings window won't let me save the changes, and my comp isn't picking up the xbox now. What's going on with that?

I've tried many a times trying to boot that disc on there. XS tutorials said all I need were the EvoX's.xbe and.ini files...I've burned them into xiso format, but to no avail. What am I doing wrong? (using cdrw media btw, which I know works)

I tried to have UnleashX as my default dashboard. See what I did was (without knowing of course) I deleted my current xbox's dashboard's.xbe, that being EvoX...I did backup the xbe and ini though...now I know I shouldn't have done that...I reboot, and only the MS dash is coming up...how can I fix this? Is there a way I can at least be able to FTP back to the xbox? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

For some reason or another, MAMEoX 0.84 isn't finding my cheat.dat. I've put it in the general sub dir as said in FAQ, made sure it wasn't zipped in sub dir, enabled cheats within mame, and made sure the name correspones with the name said in the emulator and file itself in the general sub dir. What am I doing wrong? Can someone help?

also check out #xbins on EFnet. You'll need mIRC(obivously) and an FTP program (preferrably SmartFTP) 1. Connect to the IRC channel 2. Type "/msg xbins !list" and press enter 3. A PM will pop up and tell you what to do from there and how to get on the FTP (which carries ALL!!! the emulators and anything having to do with the words 'modded' and 'xbox') Enjoy.

I wish I had a network for a TV Stream. All I got is xbox crossover cable to PCI NIC and my DSL through another NIC (built-in). Don't feel like buying a router...maybe when i have more money to blow.

indeed you were Prican25, I had downloaded the sources, and not the binary, thus no default.xbe or xml's for that matter. I connected to a pretty big DC Hub and got the binaries from there. all is good now. XBMC is a godsend! I can finally watch Naruto on the tele. Thanks for everyone's help.

that's the problem. I'm still not finding this default.xbe for neither xbmp or dvd2xbox...just don't know how to get/find it. ANY HELP!!?

I downloaded xbox media player along with a xml wizard. I burned the cdrw according to the tutorial on xbox-scene. Now with the problem...EvoX is reading it as a game and I can only highlight an empty space in Evo X. The guide said that the main file has to be renamed to default.xbe...which is the main file? The config.xml I got from the wizard? I'm just one step away from getting the media player to work. What am I doing wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

don't know what avalaunch is, so I guess I don't. I have a standard DSL modem (not a router), but I can get a crossover cable. My friend who also has a modded xbox says that he uses the LAN party hub (for Halo parties and whatnot) and he says he hooks up to the computer like that to transfer the games. I'd like to start transferring roms and more emulators like Kawa-Hex whenever I can. Got a guide you can point me to or something?

Just got my xbox modde today, and I'd like just a little help. I got a emulation pack with just about every xbox-compatible emulator on it, excluding Kawa-Hex. I'd like to start putting games on it like SvC and MS5, SS5 and whatnot. Could anyone help me out or point me to tutorials on mainly how to get games onto the xbox. I have Evolution-X dashboard with Xecuter 2.3 lite (I believe). Any help would GREATLY appreciated. Thankies.
