  1. yes. download the source. its "d_neogeo.cpp" inside src\burn\neogeo folder (you can open it with notepad). you can also uncomment the drivers for non-encrypted versions of FBA supported games (incomplete though, i didnt find a decrypted driver for Ganryu and another game i cant remember but once you learn to compile its not a big thing at all)

  2. I'm getting all excited lol.

But thinking that the others are playing the game as we speak,

...gets under my skin and drives me COMPLETELY INSANE!!!! lol

    :D

i did as well, kind of lost that excitement though when i was reminded of how painful my experience is before i got to download SVC (2 tries, one @ 50% then died, another @ 96%, THEN DIED AGAIN, wasted 5-hours downloading on nothing but dying links)

  3. im on an ancient PC so dont expect high-end stuff ;)

Neogeo and CPS1/2 - FBA - this emu just turned NRX (my former favorite) to a plain test emu.

    Nintendo Stuff:

GB/C - BGB emu, GBC emulation on VBA works fine, its just faster here though less compatible, but hey, it still has a high compatiblity rate overall.

SNES - ZSNES/SNES9x - i use both for playing and testing stuff. i barely play SNES emus nowadays though

NES - ViruaNES/FCEUltra - as above i barely play NES emus nowadays. might not be as good as a newer NES emu named Nestopia but hey, for a low-end, it works wonders and more than expected :(

    Sega Stuff:

Genesis/SegaCD - Gens, im open to try other emus though (except the older DOS emus).

8-bit systems (Master System/Gamegear) - Dega/Meka - i play Dega the most between the 2. Meka is more accurate (actually the most accurate Sega 8-bit emu) so its there when i need to test stuff. Meka runs full speed as well on my PC (tweaking applied)

  4. yeah, its more probably something with the CRCs. Generate a DAT from FBA (under "Misc" menu - choose Romcenter or CLRMAMEPro DAT depending on what you use)

make it a habit to use those utilities if i were you. theyre really useful

trust me, its better on MAME

FBA is tenfold faster than MAME and emulation of Neogeo games is on par with MAME as well. The games are playable even with Raster effects on my 300Mhz machine (and dead smooth on games without it)

plus, its a lot easier to understand their driver system compared to MAME.

  5. help me guys i'm tottaly screwed here!!!!! i some sort of a newbie emumaniac!!!

i started out with gameboy color the moved to snes! next thing u know i was

downloading Neo Geo games!!!!! but this damn confusing!!!!!

    what r:

    - non-encrypted roms

    - dumped versions

    - prototypes

1.) i cant exactly define what decrypted roms mean, but all you really need to know for now is that decrypted roms are a lot smaller when compressed (zipped) than with encrypted roms (as they barely compress at all). so if youre a space-saving/ 56ker/ neoragex fan or just downright practical, decrypted roms is the best choice.

2.) dumped versions - huh? to "dump" (as we know it) is to extract a game ROM from the actual hardware to a PC readable data. not sure what you mean when you said "versions", but lets just say they can be alternates of sort.

3.) prototypes - like before i cant exactly define this. suffice to say theyre pre-production / incomplete version.

  6. http://www.emucn.net (look for the headline named "NeoRAGEx EGCG Ver.Final X (Test Version 1)")

theres an NRX news and download in there at the frontpage (WARNING for people below broadband - the file is 10 MB)

i cannot verify this myself if it works perfectly with SVC (i didnt download this, well, partially but didnt finish it). dont blame me if anything stupid happens.

  7. i know this is late but heres my easier 2 cents alternative.

1.) download the original rom, in whatever language that game originally was.

2.) go to this site: http://dount.parodius.com - the best translation repository site ive found, errr...actually thats just the only one ive found :D

3.) find an IPS patcher. i dont know their homepages but here are their names: IPSXP, Lunar IPS (or LIPS) and IPSWin, there may be others but ive no idea about them.
