Whinecube Release 6

Whinecube R6 has been released. Here is the change log:

This is an interim release, a way to collect all the work I've done since the last release. I want to give a big heap of thanks to all the beta testers, without whose help I could not have done this.

 

    * Made several major internal changes.

    * Improved GP(3D hardware) emulation.

    * Added rudimentary memcard emulation. It is not yet directly compatible with memcard images formatted on a real Cube.

    * Added UART output emulation(OSReport).

    * Added Always on top option.

Project64 RDB 1.6x Beta 2

This is a ROM database for Project64. Here's what they have to say about it:

I post an RDB.

We ask you to play games! All games, but paying particular attention to those listed below, because they've recently had settings changed.

Use only Project64 v1.6, Jabo D3D8 1.6, Dsound 1.6, Dinput 1.6, included 1.6 RSP.

SSSPSX 0.0.13

A new version of the PSX emulation SSSPSX is out. Unfortunately the changes are in Japanese and I can't understand it. But that shouldn't stop you from downloading it and giving it a try. Also, if you know Japanese, it would be swell if you could translate it.

RomCenter 2.70 beta 7

RomCenter, a rom file manager, has been updated. Here are the changes:

- Don't report games wich just miss roms in their bios in missig list

- Fix error when merging a zip with a corrupted zip.

ClrMamePro 3.64c

ClrMamePro is another useful ROM manager and auditing tool. Here are the changes in the latest release:

    *  added: support for "offline xml" datfiles. You have to give them a.dat extension though. No idea if they support mutli- iles sets, the single file-sets should work though.

    * fixed: batchrun->no destination set is shown in some cases. (An empty destination is now set to the 1st rompath)

    * fixed: batchrun->windowpositions, scanresults aren't saved in all cases

    * fixed: profiler cursor up/down doesn't update the profiler info window

    * misc: changed "no sets in rompath..." a bit. It wouldn't appear if the path is empty anymore.

Gens32 is a emulator for SEGA Genesis/Mega-Drive/Sega-CD/Mega-CD/32X for Windows.

What's New:

 

1) Rewrite all codes, Gens32 is Based on Gens2.12a And Gens+0.039 now.

 

2) Redesigned Menu. Separate into 2 modes, which are Simple mode and Advanced Mode.

 

3) Deleted some useless functions, some useful function are also deleted, these will be restored later and become more powerful.

 

4) Added input macro system.

 

5) Added 3 sound filters wrote by myself.

 

6) Fixed the menu's bug in v2.00. The menu can be displayed normally under win9x now.

 

7) Fixed Sound volume settings. Both volume and channels can be adjust without noise.

 

Fixed SEGA CD brm system, making it easier to use.

 

9) Fixed Input macro system, making it easier to use.

 

10) Restored game name translation system. Thanks to LuciferWon's hard work, all roms name starting with "A" can be displayed in chinese. And, the GameName.dat will come along with his Simple chinese translation of Gens32.

A new version of Daphne, 0.99.6c has been released to fix some bugs in 0.99.6! Daphne is an emulator that emulates arcade laserdisc games.

- fixed bug introduced in v0.99.6b where framefiles with multiple entries had their filenames truncated to 4 characters.

NOTE : this release is primarily to address the most frequent problems that Daphne v0.99.6 users have been experiencing.  In other words, it is mainly a bug fix release, with no new features.  The next version of Daphne ('cvs version') continues to be developed.

 

- all strcpy and strcat's in ldp-vldp.cpp replaced with safer versions that cannot buffer overflow

- error messages relating to erroneous framefiles have been improved to ease troubleshooting

- command-line argument size has been increased to 320 characters from 80. This allows people to run daphne from within many nested directories, or from within directories with long names

- a "-nojoystick" option has been added to prevent daphne from using a joystick if desired

- parallel port support for win2k/winxp is now built-in (an external program such as directio or allowio is no longer needed)

- error messages about rom loading failures have been made more verbose to ease troubleshooting
