A few days ago, when Gamecop asked me to write a tutorial on DLDI, I had no idea how big of a project it would become. I wrote the first draft including 2 of the 3 Windows apps in just a few hours, but since then I've found myself using multiple computers and OS's to get more info. I've used two Windows PCs, one MacOS X laptop, and an Ubuntu Linux Live CD. Sweet. The big 1-6. Awesome. Got 3 emails informing me that it was my b-day today. One was from DCEmu, one from MaxConsole, and one from Agozer. I noticed that the DCEmu message was more advertisement than good wishes: So yeah... so far I've received a few checks which I am supposed to use to buy a Wii, and a mouse pad with a gel wrist rest (say that ten times fast). Got mah 17th b-day coming up on April 10th. Big plans. BIG plans. Sorta. First, on Sunday April 6th, I'm going to see Behemoth (currently one of my favorite bands) and Dimmu Borgir play at The Rave with some friends (tickets are b-day presents from the parental units). One of the opening bands, Burial Ritual, is a local band I've seen before, so I know for sure there'll be lots of brutal music to be heard and hopefully pits up the wazoo. I knew it was gonna be a good night when I took a big bag of pocket change I'd accumulated over a year or two to the bank and discovered it was worth $24, thus paying for my ticket to the concert. First up: Winds of Plague - Generic deathcore. Move along, nothing to see here. Next was Moonspell - Pretty decent black/doom metal.
