spludlow Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Hello @Robert I noticed machine renames in this release, eg "dinos" => "dino" without leading zeros. I was renaming my snaps, just wanted to check these renames are permanent, its not an intermediate thing or something? Cheers Sam
Robert Posted August 4 Author Posted August 4 It's supposed to be permanent, although I do sometimes make on-the-fly changes which weren't planned beforehand. Basically the "s" will be removed, unless the last character of the parent was numeric. So "dino44", or "sengoku2s01" . If there's hundreds of clones, then there could be leading zeros added, so "dino044" for example. 1
Robert Posted August 9 Author Posted August 9 It's been supported for a few years, but remember, history.xml doesn't include games found in HBMAME.
Robert Posted August 11 Author Posted August 11 You're right, there's some kind of corruption there. I'll have a look. EDIT: It's fixed now. The code for history display hadn't been updated from 0.245 .
Robert Posted August 20 Author Posted August 20 We've now added support for homebrew neogeo CDs. They are set up just like normal games, so you don't need to mount the CD or use software. Just start the game as if it was any other game, it starts up and runs. Added 21 titles. Although there are more CDs, they duplicate existing rom-based games, so they were left out. There's a possible bug - you might sometimes get a screen of rubbish at the start - press any key and it will then run normally. Also, some games might ask you to format a memory card - you don't need to do that, just skip past that prompt. 1
StHiryu Posted Friday at 11:08 PM Posted Friday at 11:08 PM HBMAME and HBMAMEUI 0.289.1 32bit avaliable (Xp compatible). Download from: RETRODANUART MAME XP 1
Rhion Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago As Retroarch recently supports hbmame core on aarch64 platform (https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/linux/aarch64/latest/hbmame_libretro.so.zip), I take a try today. Overall, it runs smoothly, but I find I cannot insert coin in sf2prime. The parent rom and other clones/hacks of hsf2 are working just fine. I don't experience similar problem on other games either. The libretro core shows as version 0.289.x (tag22-390-g65b1f409d). Is this a specific issue of libretro version or a common issue in latest build?
Robert Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago That's a known issue with sf2prime, the developer is aware of it. You have to press 9 (service) to get a credit. I don't know anything about Retroarch, nor do i provide any kind of support for it. If 9 doesn't work then you'll have to find out from them which button to use.
