ARCADE64 (0.264.0) having trouble making save states

I'm having trouble making save states with the Arcade64 (0.264.0   /   2024-03-27).

When I try to save state I get error:

"Error: Load state file [romname]\quick.sta not found"

Never had this problem with the previous version and wondering if I've forgot a setup option or something else at fault?

The default keys for save states changed in MAME.

Looks like you are pressing LeftShift F7.

If the keys are not working as documented either delete cfg/default.cfg, or change the key definitions via Tab, Input Settings, Input Assignments (general).

Yes I was doing LShift-F7. Thank you for pointing that out very helpful. I'll have a read and update my notes too.
