Fatal Rose Posted August 7, 2008 Author Posted August 7, 2008 Do they not realize they are doing this?
Autobahn Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 No, these incredibly smart programmers don't know they are doing this.
BlackKnight Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Do they not realize they are doing this? They are intentionally going for accuracy of emulation over speed, under the logic that there will always be faster hardware.
Robert Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 And that ppl will always keep buying faster more power hungry computers in a world with an energy crisis
Fatal Rose Posted August 8, 2008 Author Posted August 8, 2008 No, these incredibly smart programmers don't know they are doing this. Maybe you should make them aware of what they are doing?
Agozer Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 The problem is that it's their emulator, and they are known for not listening to these types of requests. MAME has always been about better and better accuracy (it is, after all, the flagship of hardware preservation efforts), so the developers will hardly change their approach just because some people are unhappy with it.
Fatal Rose Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 So far so good. FBA has been hitting the spot.
