the best current arcade emulators?

hi. i havn't been keeping up with arcade emulation on xbox for the last year or so. i was wondering what the best current arcade emulators are for xbox.

 

im mostly in it for shmups, and my main concern is playing Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters Jet, Viper Phase 1, DoDonpachi II, etc.

 

i recently realized that these games are running for the most part in curent version of MAME for PC, and ive tried them there, but they run really slow. i was hoping they might be running better in xbox MAMEs these days.

 

i do have Mameox128 Plus!, which can run Raiden Fighters 2 - 2000 pretty well, and i think i have the latest FBA-XXX but im not sure.

 

i guess my basic question is, has any more progress been made on any of the above games (drivers, vm settings, etc) for emulating on xbox?

None of the games you mentioned are playable. I couldn't even get Raiden Fighters 2 to work at all. Afaik the xbox mame emus still use the old core and as such rom compatibility is still as was at the beginning. FBAxxx does run EspRaDe and Guwange which mame(d)ox does not, at least in my experience. If you want to take advantage of recent fixes, eg working sound in Batsugun, then you will have to stick to Mame on your PC.

Those games will never play full speed on the xbox with Mameox since the Xbox has a slow ass cpu.

Raiden Fighters 2 does not work on the current version of Mame .

 

Raiden Fighters Jet runs at full speed here on my PC, So I have to assume you have s slow PC .

what about PC, what is the besr arcade emulator for PC compatible with Kaillera? (i would like to play online )
