Speaking of NGBC will it come out on any systems? (not just north america.)? and do modchips hurt/slow down/harm glitch etc... your ps2?

Modchips void your warrenty, also some games that are "aquired" might not work, while imports will work (from my experience with a Magic+). NGBC is set to come out on PS2 on 12/22 in Japan and Xbox 360 in North America a few months afterwards. Both are scedualed with Online (PS2 Japan only & Xbox Live in North America)

I guess the best solutions are:

 

1) an Xbox

 

2) a PS2, a way to import games and a way to play imported games (swapmagic is cheaper than a modchip)

 

I'm going with 2), as I don't have 1) =P

I know, I owned a few, but pirating them is faster.
