Turn off window firewall

i know this will sound stupid but i'll ask anyway. In my class i was trying to play Final doom using doom95 but when i start a game my classmate can't c it. a message pop up whenever i start and say the window firewall is blocking it from broadcasting and i will need an admin to change the setting for me, but of course they won't do that, so is there any way to turn off the firewall?? i think all the computers are in the same domain and our school accounts are very limited and have no control at all.

you'd probably have to acess the list of services which only the admin can do

Start --> Run --> "services.msc" [Enter]. Only administrators can change it.
