  1. Okay I'm at a total loss, I got sprmaker downloaded and running, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to make customized endings for my characters (ya know, after the game ends)...I know it has to be a PCX file and I got Paint Shop Pro, but when I load the graphics that I want and test it, it comes up as a blank black screen..what am I doing wrong?? On second thought....I just need your typical "Mugen for Dummies" book..lol
  2. Same as me, I use SoundFX, but only the trial version.. I used VDMSound, but it seriously lagged my system and half the time it couldnt find the right file to load!
  3. I tried Red Hat 9, and I couldn't get it to install correctly, kept running into errors and such, so I would recommend Mandrake 9.2, its fairly easy to install, 3 ISO's worth, but its fairly simple to set up partitions and install. I've been running it for about a month or so now, and haven't had any complaints with it.
  4. here's the funny thing, i'm running mandrake linux 9.2, and had no problems starting it under linux, i was just trying to get the windows version up and going. Oh well, guess i'll stick to linux for now. Thanks for your help
  5. Yeah, I got the updated driver for it, which isn't easy considering that 3dfx is no longer around (bought out by Nvidia i think). But whenever I start up mugen, even in 640x480x16 mode, and trying the different vesa modes, I just get a bunch of vertical lines, all scrambled up, i resize the window then i get orange horizontal lines across the top. Go figure.. I guess i just need a new graphics card, but I don't play many pc games as it is...this card has been a workhorse for the past several years, i hate to get rid of it.
  6. I still cannot get the XP patch to work with mugen. I have an OLD (don't laugh) Voodoo 3 3500 TV AGP card. XP 2000. 512mb ram
