  1. I still don't understand why the Japanese language is SO awesome that people have a desire to untranslate things. A lot of the stuff I watch is in Japanese with subtitles just because it's all that's available, and I'm okay with that, there's nothing wrong with some subtitles, but why do you hate English so much that you have to remove translations?

Most recent game was Wario Land 4. It was good, but a bit on the short side. Other games include Shining Soul 2, which was hard, and Sins of a Solar Empire, which is pretty good, but I haven't played it enough to give it a solid opinion yet.

  2. But to be forced into something that is that personal. I think one should have a choice. And it's their way of life, which mind you... SUCKS ASS! So what if it is a cultural difference, I think one should have a choice. Because there is always, ALWAYS another way.

They are given a choice. They can't get married if they go into prostitution, which implies that they don't have to go into prostitution and could get married otherwise. It's common for them to follow this path, but not forced, if they really didn't want to, they don't have to, but the majority want to.

It's not about culture, it is well know what sort of troubles this causes to a child. Yes she's 13, and she's a child. She couldn't know what her decisions will do. Her remark about not having to housework reveals her "grand" decision capacity.

I think I'm out of the loop again, this tends to happen pretty often. What problems does this cause in a child?

  4. 1. If Alaska and Hawaii decided to declare their own independence, would USA allowed it?

I'm actually going to answer yes and void the rest of your post.

Edit: I did type that before actually reading your post, and have to admit that it doesn't void your entire post. A fair portion though.

The government doesn't own people, the people own the government, the people also own their land. At least that's how it's supposed to work in America, though arguments could be made otherwise, and that isn't necessarily how things are viewed in China. We just think it should be that way.

you do know that the civil war was started over southern states wanting independence right? Washington would never allow a state to succeed. hell we won't even allow Puerta Rico to be it's own country.

The civil war was ages ago, and Puerto Rico...uh...flock. Guess I lost that one.

  5. What is the difference then with the US who invades Afghanistan and Iraq? Didn't they try to destroy their

culture there (Talibanism in Afghanistan and trying to introduce democracy in Iraq)? So, US is invading under the pretext that:

    1. they are freeing Afghanistan from Talibanism? (Same as Before China took over the people of Tibet lived in fiefs the land was owned by the lamas. China claims they freed the people of this and maybe they did and maybe they didn't)

    2. They are introducing democracy to Iraq and help overthrown a dictator (Same as Before China took over the people of Tibet lived in fiefs the land was owned by the lamas. China claims they freed the people of this and maybe they did and maybe they didn't)

You are saying the problem is China's lack of respect for anything. I would say the same thing to the US who

has no respect to anyone against them too.

I didn't say it was different and I didn't say that what America's doing is right.

  6. Record companies just aren't required anymore. Bands can get their music out online, and advertise through word of mouth. This is the sort of thing that comes with the information age. Artists might make less than they used to as a result of this, but then, thinking about the plateaus they've been resting on for the past few decades, less isn't really a small amount.

  8. I consider the PS controllers the next step after the SNES controllers, which they basically were, and consider them the best out there. I haven't had any problems with the Gamecube controller or the Wiimote held on its side. XBox controllers have felt weird to me. Dreamcast controllers fit my hand really well, so I like those. And for the record, the DSLite is too small, though it isn't really a controller. It always hurt my hand trying to use one.

  9. I use a GMail account, and another account that seems to be GMail, but with a custom address. I don't really use it for anything aside from newsletters or something, though. I trust that Google won't try to steal my WoW account password or something.

  10. Just finished Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations, and it was amazing, again. I especially liked all the pop culture references. Shows the translators knew what they were doing.

Amen to that. That game was king. I'm finding Apollo Justice harder to get through...

Oh and you know that whole Bridge to the Turnabout thing...

...where they swing the body from one side of the valley to the other...

I did that in real life. It was a bigger thrill than bungee jumping. :P

    That's impressive, I must say.
