  1. Specifically Wellington, New Zealand I'll have a release this month though (April) all going well.
  2. DSEmu 0.4.10 is now available: http://www.double.co.nz/nintendo_ds/dsemu.html This has a few new DS graphics features implemented incuding sprites and 8 bit modes. The sprite support has resulted in a few more demos running that are actually playable. I've posted about the various fixes at my weblog: http://www.dsdeveloper.co.nz/2006/01/dsemu-0410-is-out.html Unfortunately the annoying thumb emulation bug is still there but I've put a workaround in place. Hopefully I'll be able to fix that in the near future as its the major reason why some demo's crash or black screen.
  3. Which ROM are you trying? Do the 'working example' ROM's at my dsemu site work for you? Did you choose the 'Run' option from the menu after loading?
  4. Can you give me an example of a ROM that causes this with a link to download it? Do the 'working example' ROM's at my dsemu site work for you?
  5. Thanks, works been crazy and I haven't had much of a chance to do anything. What's the happy cat demo? I'm a bit out of touch
  6. DSEmu 0.4.9 is released: http://www.double.co.nz/nintendo_ds/dsemu.html Mostly bug fixes to get things working with recent devkitpro and libnds releases. * Fixed thumb emulation bug that caused black screens and crashes occasionally. * Touchscreen fixed to work with devkitpro r17 and libnds dated 2005-12-12. * Bug fixed contributed by Mark Winney fixing divide SWI. * Fixed bugs in DMA and SWI handling.
  7. There is a 'Donation' link on the top left of the DSEmu web page which goes to PayPal. All donations are very gratefully accepted!
  8. DSEmu 0.4.8 is out. Before you get too excited it only has a couple of fixes to get a Tickle Girl and the Ruby video tech demo working. Since these were small changes and got these working I decided to do a quick release. Robbbert, you may not want to run your huge range of tests on this once since not much has really changed. It's unlikely to make a difference to other games: http://www.double.co.nz/nintendo_ds/dsemu.html
  9. Cool, I would gratefully accept it too
  10. Very nice. I'd like to look at using this one: http://ngemu.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=99463 What do you think?
  11. I maybe wrong but the the tetris games use an X/Y method that doesn't work on hardware. They check bits in the standard key register whereas they should be checking for them in the ARM7-only keys register. They were probably written in the early pre-hardware emulator days. Can anyone confirm if they work on hardware? DSEmu implements both the hardware scheme and that used by the tetris games to be backwards compatible. Although I may stop the compatibility one day if it proves to be a problem.
  12. Have you seen the list that Robbbert posted of the games he tested? A few there run. Which games does 0.0.1a run that 0.4.7 doesn't? What information has 0.46 written in stead of 0.4.7? I looked at www.emuforum.de but it seems to be down. Dualis or IDeaS might be a better choice for you.
  13. Nice! Can you send me a patch for the changes so I can include it in the next release?
  14. Is there a register for allowing the ARM7 to access parts of video ram? I thought there was but can't find reference to it. I don't think it is WRAMCNT as that's for the shared IWRAM area according to dstek.
  15. 4 Hours, wow that's a lot of time. Many thanks for the test results It's much appreciated. It's good to see some progress being made with more demo's working and hopefully the next release will have even more.
