  1. added xtra settings page..... added stuff Rotate monitor to side (beta) Pixel Ratio 10x11 dpad disables previews for speed in scrolling (already happens for triggers) 3 more game rom paths though gui any more settings needed / wanted nows the time....this will go final to have a new settings page in a day or 2 so if you want a gui option nows the time to lobby for it...places are going fast also scan for games is an option in the basic settings now so you dont have to enable advanced mode you can go to settings and scan for games
  2. R7 will be out this weekend... then im working on NEW Skin and Showcase.... a comeplete settings upgrade is happening this weekend...then R7 will be released as for work it just has to go in right....make it easy and intuative for general users or else its bloat to me....ive never changed this ideal.....slowly but surely im doing stuff but measuring twice and cutting once
  3. nope and R7 wont have any problems if no roms are found it rescans for roms untill they are found then it will boot any other build will boot no worries by up/down/left/right would lock up the emu looking for roms could be a fatx lba48 issue if your large drive is getting full that will corupt the xbox
  4. ok now its Default Scale Stretch Pixel Perfect (pixel perfect ...eg exact size) Pixel Perfect x2 (2x pixel perfect for every game) Pixel Perfect x3 (3x pixel perfect for every game for HD users maybe) Pixel Perfect Auto Fill ( upscales perfectly from x2 x3 x4 x5 to fill your defined area) for people that never want it to leave there setup screen area Pixel Perfect Overscan ( upscales perfectly from x2 x3 x4 x5 to fill full screen and 25 percent overscan area) for people that dont mind it cutting off a small amount to achieve one more perfect upscale Horizontal Widescreen Correction Vertical Rotated Widescreen Correction Horizontal and Vertical Rotated Widescreen Correction remember this can get better just in trails to find modes to best suit...but maybe the overscan option will work....its time to retest
  5. it will for serval reasons im aware of...the sources are issues as all inis are set to load and update in the folder the emulator is the ini like neogensis.ini is on D:\\ anything that has to save to D:\\ cant be there or it will lock up trying....so ini cfgs saves anything that used to be on E:\\ from exports emus is now D:\\
  6. need to talk to you about some stuff cos what you ask is easy but might not be needed I could make a pixel perfect x+20percent or something like that it would look at your setup screensize and still scale it up to 20percent outside your setup window...anyway best to talk about this stuff right now it will go to your setup window...by default your screensetup size for overscan is 90percent, so 90percent of 640 and 90percent of 480 is where it would allow the scaling x2 x3 x4 be capible of scaling in sd....of coarse its 90percent of 1280 and 90 percent of 720 for hd so scale x2 will allways happen and most of the time x3 and sometimes x4 maybe even x5 also can talk about 10x11 thing as thats easy as well....but there is a better solution I know of I can do any logic and add switchs....the interface is 100percent cutomisible I could add any switchs like Default Resolutions ON/off Width of pixels = ------------ if Default Resolutions = ON or adjustble from 100-2500 if Default Resolutions = OFF Width of pixels = ------------ if Default Resolutions = ON or adjustble from 100-1500 if Default Resolutions = OFF an option to adjust pixel x to 10x11 Pixel Aspect Ratio if width of 384 pixels...everything is east its just thinking about the best way to put it into the gui...the engines done and very customisble and can add up to 95 more modes
  7. I will add some special testing and alignment stuff for you cos if you have issues.....to fine tune stuff famanchu I want to do a new showcase soon...do you have a list of PC_engine and GBA games that are good maybe nes and master system and gb and gbc
  8. the above fix works fine , just add some roms...dont push up or down ... just start to bring up options and make it rescan....delete save doesnt need to happen... when I made it so the save locked it I made everyone think a certain way...this way is no longer required and options to reset stuff are in the emulator
  9. im not interested in this stuff ive moved onto HD:)
  10. just install it by default...in advanced settings there a reset everything option....that will redo the save and setup everything
  11. ok test 2 fixed some bugs and set screen at 640x480 as your saves use this and not true 720x480 NTSC res
  12. VIDEO Anti-Aliasing now is Disable / ENABLED / Automatic and its automatic by default.... this will look at the options for scaling and will enable Anti-Aliasing when ever its not in Pixel Perfect or Pixel Perfect X it will disable Anti-Aliasing if it is Pixel Perfect = exact pixels (no x2 x3 x4) etc Pixel Perfect X = exact pixels x2 x3 x4 to fit to defined window size BABE7777 is the save....ReIgnite R6 uses BABE6666 Vigilante = 256x256 On PixelPerfect = 256x256 on sd or hd On PixelPerfect X = will be 256x256 on sd and 512x512 on hd Shinobi = 320x224 On PixelPerfect = 320x224 on sd and hd On PixePerfect X = 640x448 on sd 960x672 in hd unless you scaled your adjustment screen to less than 672 pixels high then it would be 448
  13. Changed option VIDEO Anti-Aliasing now is Disable / ENABLED / Automatic and its automatic by default.... this will look at the options for scaling and will enable Anti-Aliasing when ever its not in Pixel Perfect or Pixel Perfect X it will disable Anti-Aliasing if it is
  14. Default Aspect Ratios (as per before) Scale (this fits to your screensize you defined but keeps the aspect ratio and fits it into that window) Stretch (this fits everything to your screensize you defined and adjust aspect ratio including stretching vertical games ) Pixel Perfect (this ignors your screensize you defined and just uses the pixels the game has...it centers it but also uses the top left and bottom right corner of your defined window to determine the centering ) Pixel Perfect X (same as above but will scale it by x2 or x3 or x4 or x5 if it will fit to scale as much as it can into the screensize you defined ) Horizontal (adjusts widescreen horizontal games to a more correct aspect) Rotated (adjusts rotated games to a more correct aspect for widescreen) Horizontal and Rotated (adjusts rotated games to a more correct aspect for widescreen and also Horizontal games to a better aspect ratio for widescreen) adjust Pixel Perfect X to upsize to screensize you defined only as it sometimes went off the screen using all pixels availble BETA is ready for testing I think its all good and alot there for everyone...even someone wanted to stretch PACMAN to full screen...you can do that now with the stretch Aspect Ratio
  15. yes it does have video filters....I dont recommend video filters.... I renamed all the packs of stuff
  16. No renaming app im aware of sorry...no video stuff around apart from rx stuff and emumovies I dont have to much as I havent concentrated on Shawcase 2 much
  17. ok now I have a lot of options Default Aspect Ratios (as per before) Scale (this fits to your screensize you defined but keeps the aspect ratio and fits it into that window) Stretch (this fits everything to your screensize you defined and adjust aspect ratio including stretching vertical games ) Pixel Perfect (this ignors your screensize you defined and just uses the pixels the game has...it centers it but also uses the top left and bottom right corner of your defined window to determine the centering ) Pixel Perfect X (same as above but will scale it by x2 or x3 or x4 if it will fit to the screen ) Horizontal (adjusts widescreen horizontal games to a more correct aspect) Rotated (adjusts rotated games to a more correct aspect for widescreen) Horizontal and Rotated (adjusts rotated games to a more correct aspect for widescreen and also Horizontal games to a better aspect ratio for widescreen) do you guys want antialis option to stay? or make it on except for Pixel Perfect and Pixel Perfect X ? only neogeo is needed id put in the 2.3 unibios as well into that rom
  18. yes its cause ive pointed the save to EMULATOR FOLDER/Saves and it cant creat that in DVD hex edit the cores...finder D:\\SAVES and change them all to E:\\SAVES
  19. x1 x2 x3 x4 etc doesnt matter at all...I can work out the max scale factor so it will fit to the screen...the issues is 1280x720 isnt the actual screen size like 640x480 wasnt and when you adjusted them I found your saves are your screen is 720x480 which is NTSC 480i res.... alot of games like cps2 use non square pixels.....and not just 10x11 theres many more.... please dont talk about X1 X 2 X3 setting in stuff again...I can use maths to determine if X2 X3 X4 X5 X6 will fit to the screen and it doesnt need to be locked the EMU will work out the max scale factor no problems at all
  20. how about this option then......if you disable anti-alias it resizes to true res.....it will scale it to X2 if it will fit if not it wont scale it? (this will override all widescreen adjustments(this will work for cab owners only) also in widescreen adjustment options has an option to keep proper aspect ratio...this will mean you have adjust for horizontal games...rotated games....allways keep aspect trueish option do 720P uders want true pixel ratio X3 and X4 scaling?
  21. to say just add it is easy as.....the feature as usual is very simple to add but very complexed to set it up so people can understand and run it intuativly as each person will want something diff out of it....
  22. ok tell me all the screen res.... all the ways you want it locked.... all the scale factores you want ??? when researched I found about 100 different monitor res and plasma/lcd/led tv resolutions..... im not going to let the tail wag the dog esp when all people here cant even see the difference really and prefer it full screen....correct aspect ratio is good though also on an hd tv antialising is more than halved due to alot more pixels to defuse stuff exact screen size with scaling has issues and I need to know exactly what to support for it and what not to.... its not as simple as For 480i, 480p, NTSC, PAL: Original pixels X2 and centered For 720p: Original pixels X3 and centered ive done this now and it will work on alot of stuff but fail on alot of stuff eg the 720p i only setup for my screen which is 1330x726 so it can exactly line up the pixels for my tv so I need to know setting for GUI right now you have widescreen correction for vert games rotated...horizontal games... point filtering on/off....we need pixel size exact???....autozoom true pixel size to fill as mucxh as it can???...true aspect enlarged to fit screen?....stretch all to fit screen?? also how would these settings effect each other and what locks out what ... also how would this look in settings and whats the best way to have these options?
  23. well that has alot of issues x2 cant be done as alot of games like CPS2 that will go over the edges....ive made it scale x factor as much as it can to not over file the screen automatically and can make that allways on ... add a setting to be automatic on/off or add a scale x factor that you can lock....all of this needs to be discussed GUI wise....there is about 100 different options of this stuff that I know of...for all sorts of things and alsorts of types of monitors.... do I make a complexed crappy as settings page that people will get wrong except the few or limit it donw to a few automatic options...if so what ones screens arnt 1280x720 and 1960x1080 they can vary in which case I wont exactly line the pixels to what the screen is.....to expalin this if a tv is 1300wide by 800heigh...720p will output 1280wide by 720wide and the monitor will stretch the pixels to fit the screen cause some of that distortion...very small and less if its a true hd screen as pixels are smaller again. But unless I set it to 1300x800 instead of 1280x720 it will have distortion and there will be many many different amount of pixels for LCD/Plasma/Monitor types.... So I need to know do you guys really want this....if so how will I do this for all tv types... also do people want a close but scaled true aspect ration....this wont need to be one percent correct as anti-alaising will be on this..... and it will never exactly match the screen unless people are whiling to test this stuff and do it right....I wont be adding it....its not as simple as one thinks unless I just do it like cosop at NTSC TVs only then its easy...as I know exactly the screensize...although he will be unaware of some distortion st present by some of the maths being carried out 640x480 and not 720x480 like the TV will be
  24. ive researched this there is only 2 sizes for PAL NTSC but there is many for HD or monitors...id need to know the exact screen type to do size it to exact size... also true aspect ratio to the screen can be wrong if it doesnt know the exact screen pixel sizes it can get the ratio slightly off...I could care less myself but without knowing exactly what the reference you cant 100percent say that its correct cosop is using 4x3 NTSC and that is a true screensize of 720x480 he can do the maths he will see im correct anyways ive got an adpatble system of screen control once again...i need to know once again what people want.... I want it simple though
  25. need testing of screen ratio stuff I can have true aspect ratio stretch to screen everything stretch to the screen true pixels need to know what options people want so I can make it the most simple GUI i can to do what people want.... what do you want aspect ratio wise??
