You the community have now seen the pride and teaming up by others to stop the killing of there community from the threat to all dev called CoinOPS.... well to me you guys have all lost out.....there are so many features in CoinOPS that dont make it to other stuff even on the PS3 etc due to this and its you guys that suffer....
I cannot make people see the light and its there loss....leading to your loss....as you know if I see something of interest im open to adding it.....
at times like this talk is cheap....the way seems boring and defined.....what is the way out of this?
VISION.....most dont know what they havent seen.....people say coinops is cut and paste or that its a skin....I say its a VISION years ahead of others....
the skin png is open, grab it and you get years of work by me or maybe 2 hours of my time
what I will do is once again show some VISION....nothing buggy or 2 frames a sec or stuff you will never use, like we see today....nothing beta like that makes your childen cringe....something that makes them sing with joy...like I see time and time again on youtube and other forums about CoinOPS....
this lack of VISION has happened before when XBMC was XBMP and people though it was all it could be....
this happen for Mameox when people said it was as good as it could be....
people cant see what they dont know....and people are stubborn......
VISION is needed again...................
CoinOPS already bought a GUI way in advance of what is on any other emulator on any other console and challenges the best of PC......Vision is a GUI that no one thought possible.....
Dev out there are killing invoation....pushing painfull productions....even killing there sites.....we must turn this around and once again I take this as a challenge....how can we make the children smile again.....
I hope once again the community will live not in fear of Vision but work with it and embrace it.....with Vision people must look forward and forget the people that cant see or are to stuborn to have the courage to dream and be Visionary.....
I hope I can rise to the challenge......

i voted NO i have a soft spot for 1emu as it was the 1st site i joined.i really hope things pick up again but im unsure if they will
some other sites have downloads etc thats what keeps em afloat.

Cave nicely asked the MAME team to remove it. If they hadn't done so, then sterner action would have followed. There is no date for those games to come back.
I have to agree on this, there should not be emulation of games or systems that are still being sold in shops.
cant argue with the above points emulation afterall is not worth going to jail over. but apart from things that are being sold in shops there are a whole host
of games on Xbox Live or PS network that are also being emulated i wonder why Nintendo Sony sega etc are not sending out cease and desist notices
about these games which can be played using (UME)

so it's been a while now since cave sh3 drivers were removed from Mame can we expect them to make a comeback anytime soon or is it still to early
i was also hoping to see em in FBA would that be on the cards at all
also was wondering in theory could the xbox handle these games or is that an unrealistic expectation

Its offical you are the largest CoinOPS community ever....
this is a great achievement....other people have boasted to be so even though 3/4 of there threads where flame wars from trolls....even with all the trolling removed from here the numbers are now greater than has ever been achieved before...
This is quite a feat because this happened in 1/5 of the time....and also alot of the discussion is now done in the realtime chat....and lastly as this site came from nowhere....other sites had 1000s of established people although they are dying.....
so congradulation....CoinOPS 5 is done and it should push the bar higher.....and theres a new VISION on the horizon......

you know i have noticed a disturbing trend of late we now have coinops forum members routinely accusing each other of being trolls
for even the slightest of reasons
whats goin on certainly wasnt that way over there when i was a member a while backhi all, and thanks BP for coinops (just discovered it with co4)
please can you check in CO5 that multiplayer on snes is working? on CO4 it's not (maybe 2 player but not 3 or 4), it sucks for bomberman

yes bomberman can be played 4 player, as many other snes games, with a multitap, which is perfectly supported in snes emulators on xbox.

This mentality of competition is the single most pathetic thing about BP and CoinOPS. No other developer sees things this way; it's laughable. And yet there are still those that say BP isn't the reason the scene is split.
That's all I'm going to say. I'll now leave those who wish to discuss this release to do so.

I've been given to understand that the members of that forum have been instructed not to post here or else. If Sharpfork wants to fix the problems in the scene, he has a tough job ahead. I hope he succeeds.

the folder has to be named correctly and goes inside main coinops folder try naming it videos or videosextra put your vids inside then FTP it across

hmm what version of coinops 4 do you have if i remember right the video folders were changed with later coinops 4 versions BTW i have coinops 4 Fantastic and have 4 vid folders named.......

my vids are in videos folder but im only running around 750 arcade roms and some arcadey PSX games
but inside there's no file just individual xmv vids for every game i have
Edit in Flashfxp select options/preferencies/transfer is transfer mode set to auto

right daft question you did extract the folder using winrar???
Edit last thing i can think of is Flashfxp has options on how file types are handled maybe worth checkin these settings out

what FTP programe do you use i have FlashFxp and ive never had any issues transfering anything
EDIT hmm strange most coinops files are usually torrent rar'd you'll need to find some programe that can open this file
and extract the videos which are inside

just a new classic section...with games that arnt supported by dosbox (hexen heritic quake 1 and 2 etc)

well there you have it coinops 5 which as far as i understand is to be the last full release on the xbox from reading the coinops forum a while back
i fully expect coinops 6 to be either on the android or xb360 platform unless plans have now changed
now ive heard some opinions expressed that doubt BP's abillity to port coinops across to said platforms i for one will keep an interested eye on
the situation see where coinops goes from here

Well it is almost release time, please do not keep asking questions about "when, where and how" CoinOPS 5 will be released... I will update this topic where possible.
Release If I do not here from out last releaser by Thursday I have another "annoymous" releaser waiting in the winds who has ready to download, package, test package, upload to FTP and release...
Our previous releaser is a very busy guy.
NOTE: BP might of finished or is nearfinishing his bit but there is still a lot of work to be done... Just because BP states its done this does not mean it has been publicly release.
This can take upto 2-3 weeks to release once BP has done his bit...

Description and change logs / screenshots all need to be created.

reupload back to FTP
Release onto UG
On that note when it is out when its out... There SHOULD be the following versions: (but dont quote me as it is subject to change)
Standalone release (with locks, This is ONLY for those who dont want to download it all and know exactly how to add the bits n bobs etc... Not recommended for beginners So we will not want to see threads asking what to do)
Lite Version for stock machines (We will also need to write a description for this)
Full release (My fav version.... just drag and drop to F: or G:)

not a crime to ask when coinops 5 will be available alotta edgy users over there
i've been wondering the same too. Afraid to ask and get an answer like "when it's out."
I'm a bit scared to ask in fear of the banhammer...
well coinops 5 is finished should be out at somepoint
ok as its done I did my final assesment of behavours and applied the locks....no one will notice
its done and up good luck to everyone will take a while before its out but its final
onto my next project

The roll out should be communicated in the weekend ...and maybe one of the three releases....it's the birthday you know...

i mean games new to coinops at any rate. must admit i dont collect hacks i just have the original games alotta the time i dont feel much has been added
to justify me having them but i guess playing as boss characters is always cool

yeah i seen those packs i guess i could make my own best of sets but i would still have to replace my current dash with this one
im gonna be honest not got much in the way of experence with this i could mess up and nuke my xbox i kinda focused on the emu side of things
but if i read up about dashes im sure i'll figure it out thats what i mean when i say im lazy can i be arsed?? finding out i dont know
