  1. The PSP joypad looks like a poor design - you might get blisters from playing fighting games - but i'll have to wait to play it myself.

Also i wonder if we'll ever get any classic ports (would be different because of teh widescreen). Though, playing Gradius III on this would own.

  2. That's cool - i wonder where they found the human subjects, because they had already tried it with animals (researchers - probably at Madison - got pigs to play simple games both with a joystick and their minds) but it seems complex. From what i remember of psychobiology the motor cortex and its functions can vary from person to person, so where do the electrodes go?

anime sux...everyone who likes anime beats off to yaoi

Hey, you removed the 'amoral mod' from your avatar... better put it back after that :nuke:

Seriously, i have no time for tv/anything right now. Working, studying, consumes me, but i just think 'new car, new car' and it's all worth it.

  4. how so? Does the game run, but with errors in the text (garbled, and time-clock bad as well)? That's the most common problem. If that's true, you can get some patches (i can''t post the link, PM me for it).

IF it's completely bad (blank screen or muddy random textures) you may have an asr.dat problem, which happens sometimes but i don't know what it is.

  5. Whoa... lets back up a minute. I've always been confused about the different SVC chaos dumps. Mine, which is called svcc.zip, uses the following ASR:

This, when played in Arcade Mode (using Kawaks 1.46) shows the eight midbosses as selectable windows. In Console mode, the bosses are not there but they and Shin Akuma/Serious Mr. Karate are available through button codes.

Which version is this? I assume that whatever it may be, the final bosses (Athena, Red Arremer) are available only though screwing with the dips/using cheats. Any ideas? :P

  6. GG keeps getting better but in my mind its still too unbalanced. Air combos are way too easy and many of the characters feel too similar, and get caught in classic fighting stereotypes. Also, there are few defensive options and air combos are too easy - if the game added a one-button parry or samurai shodown type "random counters" it would play better. However the soundtrack is good and it plays wicked fast, not bad by any means but no KOF 98.

Note: IMHO. Skythe, stop writing that flame post. Now.

  7. Meh.. at least Baltimore is improving, we're no longer in the top 3...

What i think is sad is how the violence and crime becomes a normal way of life for most people living in it. 2 years ago everyone was upset because of the deaths from Beltway sniper near (not in) Baltimore, but 5 people get killed every day in East Baltimore and nobody bats an eye.

    ;)

All music from all EA games blow.

    Agreed.

Meh. NFSU was okey, but i'm not a huge fan of hip-hop anyhow. But the music is the least important aspect of the gameplay experience. I wish they would do a better job of getting real exhaust noises so we wouldn't have to listen to it.

To conclude - skeet skeet skeet skeet.

  9. FileMirrors Search: Kawaks[/url]Doesn't 666Ghost have it? PM 666Ghost, James, or Myself and we can set you up with a kawaks loader (and an ASR file, which is an editable document that shows the bootcodes for newer roms not normally supported). That you can make yourself (to fit your romsets)

    Get a basic loader here:

    FileMirrors Search: Kawaks

enjoy. Use a 1.46 version loader.

  10. I've seen this guy. He started out with a portable Atari 2600, then a PS1, and now a PS2. This is a classic case of HAVING TOO MUCH GODDAMN TIME ON YOUR HANDS.

Pretty cool though. Must have cost a bundle to make, and i wonder how he cools the CPU (the fan must be pretty loud, or maybe it just burns your hands), especially now that it's in close proximity to all the other components.
