  1. I think I'll go ahead and tackle Shadow of the Colossus before the current vouge of vamping about its artistic value sets in.
  2. I also thought it might be fake and he couldn't actually do that, but appearently it's made of wood and movie plastic, so it's not so far-fetched. That is pretty sweet though. You say he needs a job, but you've gotta be blind not to see he's got a market for these. Also the fact he actually made it isn't half as funny as all the cosplay chicks doting over him now. That's just adorable.
  3. The one last night wasn't so good by usual standards so I wouldn't judge it too quick. Actually, almost nobody can work the mic in TNA, and Monty brown is actually one of the better ones. Raven is the king of mic work in TNA, and he's about 10 times better at it then anybody in the WWE right now exept possibly Cena. But I think that's the point, less emphasis on talk and all that. As you saw AJ Styles is a turd on the mic, and thankfully he rarely speaks. But as much as I can't stand anything about the guy, wait till you see him wrestle.
  4. Well I am pretty much in love with the matrix and this game was still phoned-in. Mind you, it is pretty cool the first time through but A. It replays for sht and B. Half of the original seqences were boring. Add to that the leigon of purely technical missteps and no, its not worth buying by far. In fact, I'm not sure which Matrix game is worse.
  5. Christ, is everyone gonna pinch that "Lied, cheated, and stole our hearts" line now? That's really disingenuous, man. I know all about guys like Henning and the British Bulldog, aut really, has anything like this ever happened? Eddie was slated for TWO main events in the next 2 weeks. And the sombitch of it, Batista's injured, like he's out for the next few months injured. He was gonna lose that title on friday. And even if Orton took it instead of Eddie, there's no other real contendership prospect (Taker's too old, JBL's spent, Hardy's got no steam, Benoit's jumping ship). Eddie was damn near garanteed the Championship between now and Wrestlemania, poised for Batista to come back and turn heel on Eddie for taking his title.
  6. The nature of the lame ending is really indicative of the whole effort. No wonder the Watchowski bros. can't make a game worthy of the franchise, they treat the projects like diversions. Now I'm almost sure they'll never make a really classic Matrix game.
  7. I'm gonna try to prognosticate as best as I can here, but jesus, this is out there. The only potential high point I see in this is that Raw would have to counterbalance by adding a new title of their own, possibly reintroducing the hardcore championship.
  8. Well jeez, you gotta mix it up once in awhile.
  9. We should have poll called "who would you rather see in the chamber match then freaking Carlito"
  10. No Mercy blew ass. Casket match was a pleasant surprise though. Whole Lesnar thing kinda boggles me, but in a cool way. For someone as big as he his, New Japan is an interesting step. Japanese audiences are fun to watch. Every high impact move or crusierweight stunt just amazes them for some reason. Good news about Raw is it looks like it's time for a little Elimination Chamber action. Exept for the fact that someone decided Carlito is in the run. Wtf. I hope he gets tomahawked and replaced by Kane or Rob Van Dam or even Masters.
  11. I went to school in California and they don't actually teach "theology." Rather, if at all, they teach the sociological cause and effect of religons. then why not do the same for evolution? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They do, I wasn't arguing against it. Altough knowledge of either disipline hasn't helped me worth a damn so I really have no idea why we should bother mandating education either way, or why we're even having this dumb fukking dialouge.
  12. I went to school in California and they don't actually teach "theology." Rather, if at all, they teach the sociological cause and effect of religons. Try not to facilitate some European kid going to public forum saying "Ooh ooh, America's become a veiled theocracy. I heard it, they said so themselves." The whole debate is moot because public institution will never affirm creationism, especially on the federal level. Any such education of "alternative thinking" can be persued on their yahoo parents own time.
  13. Good flocking riddance. Xbox was overpriced hog with siht third party support. There worst thing was the people who did buy it were left with a constrained, uninspired software library, and the few really good third party titles on the Xbox like Ninja Gaiden and Knights of the Old Republic had to be kept from the majority market (i.e. the playstation 2) because Gates had to throw his hand into the console hardware game.
  14. I think he's got no perogative to dump on Hogan. Thing is, both guys are true to their personas, and obviously Warrior moreso then Hogan. But what does that add up to? You call Warrior tough and Hogan whitebread, well big fukcing whoopdie. If Warrior's expression of self auctualization is to do something dick like go down to New Orleans to go fish, and Hogan's is to constantly drop his sht to do a make a wish event or something, I wipe my ass with your whitebread and say I'll take Hogan over Warrior in any scenario.
  15. Ironic proof that queerin dudn't make the world work.
  16. I've got an uncle and aunt fleeing Houston. Seems the Texas state authority has their siht together. The contrast between them and the Louisiana authorities seems to confirm the side of the feds in that the local government flocked up in New Orleans. Not that it'll stop the goose-steppers from playing "Blame Bush."
  17. Yeah, but I think people are gonna get the wrong idea that this is somehow gonna be worse then New Orleans. Bear in mind it wasn't the hurricane that destroyed the place it was the water.
  18. And I notice that in all that time you never gained one level to your stats. Well played, suh.
  19. Yeah I thought someone might take it like that, but the thing is I'm not getting rightously indignant, I'm telegraphing the fact that that kind of intellectual cowardice is self-defeating and is nobody's problem but thier own. I just think I owe a cirtain degree of ernest to this board.
  20. A general reaction that puts me in the mind of the tsunami in the Indian Ocean, but not insofar that, by the same logic you employ, those some 250,000 people who were killed were deserving victims of chance. Rather I'm reminded of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announcement of missing Norwegian citizens in the number of 1400, a number quickly dropped to 77, and ultimately 13 dead. But, in true narccicistic fashion, that didn't stop the Norwegian public from leaping up and proclaiming "See how we too have suffered from the tsunami." Even the Foreign Affairs Minister went out of the way to include "In Norway we, too, are in mourning for the loss of family and friends" as if to make a play for the pity and attention enjoyed by other nations with legitimately gargantuan death counts. A prime example of a nation-state so consumed with envy and cultural delusion, they will make any grab for significance, ignorant of real consequence and almost jubilant at the prospect of such a high death toll, as though it were the best thing that could have happened to them. Now we see the same inferiority complex play out only instead being directed externally at, big surprise, the United States. Now I've dealt with this kind of pathetic passive aggression before and normally I wouldn't go into such length to debunk it, but it stands to reason that any kind of staggering sense of inadequacy that would result in being flip and jovial about tens of thousands of people being killed by random events shows who the bitches really are.
  21. I don't know about that, I thought Clinton was a great president, and I'll likely vote for Hillary. I just recall more "Democrats for Bush" bumper stickers then "Republicans for John freakin canoe head Kerry."
  22. Hello, I am Jack's retrospective: Yep, Unforgiven blew. Hi again, I am Jack's top 5 highlights: 5. Flair actually hitting the top rope attack for once in his life. 4. Shelton vs. Chavo. Kinda says alot about the event, huh? 3. Tag Team Championship match. Rosey was on tonight, but they should have kept the titles. Just as well seeing they get no damn support from the WWE. 2. Hardy vs. Edge. We finally get what we want, but not in a predictable way. 1. Flair dropping Viagra. You had to see it, the whole timing was flawless.
  23. Kerry never said he was in favor of gay marriage. Hell, he wasn't in favor of much of anything. I'm in favor of gay marriage, abortion, socialized medicine, labor unions and free speech, but there no way I was voting for an empty suit like John Kerry. I might have voted for Clark or that whiny biatch Al Gore if he got off his ass and ran again.
