  1. Thats pretty cool. The way I see it though, anything that I know I'll never play or just dont like is a waste of space. I can totally dig the thought of having that many roms, its just not for me. Maybe someday if I drop a 500 gig drive in the box, I might go for it, but right now I have to make do with an 80 gig and space is of course at a premium when your that small. lol
  2. I've personally never understood why people want complete romsets for something as god awful ginoromous as mame anyway. I'm definitly not knocking it, but can anyone honestly say that they can play that many games, let alone actually enjoy them? I dunno, maybe its just me, but I'm more than happy enough with the prospect of a dvd version.
  3. I've heard about how awesome this emulator is. I cant wait to give it a spin on my freshly modded xbox.
  4. I'm gonna go wash out my eyes with dawn detergent now and hope the pain helps me forget I ever clicked the play button for that.
  5. I cant believe nobody here has listed Yuzo Koshiro yet! He's the man behind such musical masterpieces as the Streets of Rage series and Act Raiser. He also did Revenge of Shinobi and is one of the japanese gaming godfathers behind the development house called Ancient. I'd recommend checking out the heavy metal remix stylings of his works done by Brazilian metal group Megadriver. They did a whole tribute album called Swords Shuriken and Fists, available for free directly from the band's own website. http://www.megadriver.com.br We also cant forget the legendary Koji Kondo, who has composed the major themes for almost every major Nintendo franchise since the original Super Mario Bros. While his tunes may not pump you up, you certainly cant forget them. I know I for one have the overworld theme music for SMB1 and 3, Zelda, and Starfox 64 permanently burned into my skull.
  6. I remember seeing the first movie not long after it came out 3 or 4 times, hoping each time that I would understand it better. I had no knowledge of the manga, and actually didnt know back then what manga even was. All I knew was that it was one of the most fascinating pieces of animation I had ever seen. Then I saw Innocence and totally went WTF because it didn't seem to be a direct sequel since the major wasn't in a kid's prosthetic body. Now I've seen SAC and SAC 2nd Gig and OMG it helped so much. Both series explain so much about the universe for those who have never even picked up the manga that by the end of episode 11 your totally hooked. Between this and the Appleseed franchise, I believe Shirow san is right up there with Katsuhiro Otomo. Fricken great stuff...
