  1. Dont know what you mean by waiting months ? Its been on the NES Madmab edition for months !

    Where have you been !!!!

Then again you wouldnt know this as you claim you dont download other emulators and havent done for years.

So with this in mind you havent been anticipating anything have you ?

lol. Thought you were outta here !

  2. In anticipation of Madmab releasing his NeoGenesis Edition beta.

Heres a SD version of my Singularity skin. http://www.mediafire.com/?r3jyniwrmgh

Not too many configs. I cant do too much with SD due to lack of space.

Im a HD user so i have no motivation in SD so ive done this out of the goodness of my heart for you lot.

Very fast, very efficient use of space and most importantly lots of room for user configs.

Memory consumption is preserved even with possibly some of the best video and artwork on xbox emulators.

Nothing is locked out for any person wishing to build new or add to existing skins.

  3. Yes i suppose starting from scratch would be a mammoth task.

I honestly considered starting a lightgun only version of Mame for xbox last year.

It took ages just to get the software needed to run correctly.

Then i made the mistake of using existing sources as a learning point of reference.

I have a debug box n stuff but really needed advice on the correct VS to use.

I didnt want to be too old school and use old stuff but at the same time with the xbox itself

being very limited on resources then i couldnt be too modern in the approach.

Anyway thats as far as that went !!!!

  4. cvs, git ,svn all terms we all know and understand their usages.

I have an extremely small knowledge of developing code you are correct.

Although theres a lot of that about !

Not all devs are as clever as they would have us believe though.

Folder structures included in xbox ports that dont do anything can mean 2 things.

    1. Lots of code commented out but dependancies still remain.

    2. The inability to comprehend how to remove this code without breaking the code.

Now as ive said theres a lot of this about, surely this code and folders is clutter ?

Without this clutter perhaps precious resources could be freed.

Now this is your domain, could say CoinOps be re-built, without cut n paste, from the ground up without

the clutter from a PC port ? Do these things impact performance ?

lol Yeah half the skin is a joke, the easy 10 minute boring looking piece. Can you gueess which piece.

Although on a serious note the videos do play in very high quality in the "correct aspect". Plus one

can browse the roms with "zero" slowdown. I notice CoinOps suffers badly from this. Is that cause of

poor video encoding or poor emulator coding or just bad skinning ? Care to comment.

  5. I see ok, depending how things were submitted. Did you add the other authors names too ?

I remember seeing a skin of yours for one of the Mame variants (maybe mameox) dont remember any coding credits though.

What you have done with the CoinOps emulator is brilliant. Both the options and the other drivers added are a real benefit. It is built on the shoulders of giants though. Lets be honest again, you did start with a fully functioning emulator already. Having said that that i do believe you are a skilled bloke and you do deserve a lot of praise for your work. You have put a lot of hours in thats plain to see. So in answer to your question, no, i don't believe you are directly ripping them off, just being rather colourfull with the truth.

  6. After months and months of waiting patently its finaly availble.....thank god for the skills...this is a the best thing ive seen in a long time, who knows how good this can become in time. Thanks cba your a true skinner and thanks for moving things along nicely. Good work

Its been available for a while, but only for certain people !

    An afterthought......

I could have just changed one minor element at a time and released it twice a week, but you have that angle covered.

Or i could have ripped the GUI off XBMC and bolted it on to the emulator and pretended it was a whole new emulator, hang on, you have that angle covered aswell !

  7. Right my daily moan.

The rom select list looks untidy with the full rom names. ie region, version etc. We already have a display bar at the bottom with this info. Any chance of tidying the rom select list and keeping the full info at the bottom ? Or is it in the options and im just not finding it ?

  8. Is that you're girlfriend/wife? she's NIIICE ;)

lol. Why you cheeky monkey you ! Yes its my wife. I Used that pic cause her hair looked dodgy on it

so she hates it, all the more reason to keep the pic alive in my book. lol. Its her birthday today (35, oohhh)

so rest assured she will be getting what your probably thinking. :)
